17 pages?!
Wow, people really do care about her. Anyway, my view on this whole thing is that if she'd just worn a better outfit and gotten her hair fixed, people wouldn't be bagging it out half as much as they are. People are very visual these days and judge a lot on what they see. If she simply looked good and lip synced good, half of this would have been avoided. I do despair for her though, what with the new pantiless shots already.

With all do respect, you don't have any compassion for Britney because she's a millionaire? For me I have compassion for her because I see a person who is sort of a victim of her own excesses being exploited by business as wellas her friends and family. I have compassion for anyone who is being exploited whether they be rich or poor. I see it as a part of a larger problem: we just are insensitive to people's suffering, and to me Britney is suffering regardless of being rich and famous. You know, I'm not a huge fan of her music..at all. I can't stand the song "Gimme More," and was initially shocked people thought it was so great. Then I was shocked she was performing on the awards show--and then shocked by the circumstances surrounding why she was there. I don't know what people were thinking--actually. Is it any surprise to anyone she spent the whole week in Vegas partying rather than rehearsing? What--is her camp in the same denial that she is in? Or do they just don't friggin' care. Well, it's weird people are saying Britney is completely responsible for her situation. It reminds me of people saying the poor are completely responsible for their situation.. If they just worked hard enough..well then they could rise above their poverty... Don't you see, it all comes from the same place. I don't mean to be disrespectful, and don't want to get into any trouble. I'm just saying it's a sad commentary on us that we can't "see" there is not only something wrong with Britney, but also something wrong with the people around her not having her best interest at heart. I guess the opportunity for exposure and/or publicity was just too great to pass up.

Because ehuffnsd is tired of people telling him/her to stay on topic and stop trying to derail this into becoming his/her psychoanalysis on how the media calling Britney Spears "out of shape" will have damaging psychological effects on teen-age girls. I think it's a fair concept to discuss. Do you have any teenage girls? I will in about a year. She is already starting to worry about her image, and it's unhealthy to me for people to perpetuate the myth that anything over a size 6 is fat.

Damn 17 pages!!!!!???? Wow, Britney has truly struck a nerve. Let's hope that this performance marks the end of Britney Spears's career!!!!!
Goodbye and good riddance to the garbage known as Britney Spears!!!! There's a trailer in Louisiana with your name on it! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Here's what I've gathered from the public, people want Britney to go away. This should be the end, but there is one obstacle in the way: the media. The media of today will keep this nasty bitch in our face until we turn royal blue. She's their money cow or something. I hope that the media will see to it that this is the end for BS. Funny how Britney Spears's initials are the same as the initials to Bull Shit. A perfect fit if ever I saw one. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Personally, I would not have had any problem if someone in the VMA audience yelled, "Bitch, sit your ass down!" because that's what Britney Spears needs to hear. Chris Brown was good, I was watching with a friend who is a professional Ballet Dancer, and now pro choreographer, and he was impressed.
The friend was gasping at the Spears part... and saying she had just given up. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

lastdecember said: Najee said: You're not understanding my point -- this issue about Britney Spears' weight (and other peripheral tangents associated with it) are things you're introducing into the conversation. Most people aren't even making an issue of whether she's fat or not, much less trying to turn into some other topical issue that isn't crucial to the discussion. You're on a music entertainment Web site. Discussions about Spears' appearance have been in context with her poor musical performance. You're trying to turn into a soapbox that doesn't apply in scope or context. If you want to have a discussion on the effect of calling someone the size of Spears "fat" and how teen-age girls feel about it, go to a Web site that deals with that issue specifically. What you're talking about is not even relevant to the discussion at hand. I dont think thats all its about, the performance sucked case closed, the reason that the debate rages on is that everywhere in the media, here and all over, her "fitness" has been called into play, i dont think anyone ever said the performance was good, or close to being good, and guess what they all sucked last nite except for Ms. Keys, and from the posts on her i have seen everyones issue is that she did a George Michael song "because shes gay" how is that a musical conversation? Okay, I'm guilty-as-charged from that aspect. But, I was just replying to the guy that said he was engrossed onto the view of "Alicia Keys' Ass", which.....doesn't make it any better. Either way, what I have to say about the quality of her performance is, back in "1999-2000", that would have been the least remembered and ill-substantially acclaimed performance of the night. That's being said simply because the two award shows from those seperate years are the most memorable, to me anyway. I feel that "Marlon and Shawn" were really underrated at their hosting job. "AND", to be honest, when you think about it, that was really the last time that the host actually presented most of the performers and nominees. That's when a host "MATTERED" and had a presence, unlike these days! DAMN!!! I miss those days. I mean, I love me some "Alicia Keys", but, the rest of the people made her look good that night. In actuality, paying attention to her actual performance, I would pretty much say that it was mediocre; decent at best (Any other night, anyway.). Her vocals were kind of off. And, the choir were the best part of it. But, overall, it was the best. But, that's not saying much, now is it?

It used to be an Internet joke that people spelled "lose" l-o-o-s-e. But I see it so often now that I wonder if anyone remembers that "lose" and "loose" are two different words. Not trying to be a spelling cop, just wondering if this is an example of the Internet affecting our lives in ways we never dreamed. LOL! I thought I was the only one. This l-o-o-s-e vs. lose thing annoys me to NO END. Everyone in third grade seemed to have it down. What the hell happened now? What bothers me about it is not so much that the two words aren't related, but that everytime I read them now, I have to stop and think..."Am I spelling this right?" Some people tell me I've got great legs...
