Both on 180g vinyl, both remastered for the first time.

However, these releases are not the deluxe set we'd hoped for that was a combined box set with the 1992 Glam Slam show included. That was canceled, as far as anyone knows.

These are limited editions remasters. I assume there will be a CD, too.

I posted this somewhere else last month but I saw D&P SDE on the schedule for a July 2023 release at my local record store.
Yesterday when these pics circulated I asked again and they said the SDE is still on the schedule and they haven't heard anything that it has been cancelled.

To be more serious, I guess it's a good thing those albums are finally being remastered, although they sound perfectly fine to my 45-year-old ears with tinnitus.

Diamonds and Pearls was mastered just right. Well balanced with no clipping. Symbol was where things started to get too loud, so everything from there on could use a remaster.

Back in '91 the D&P CD sounded like ass compared to the vinyl. sounded horrible on both formats.

be made my remastering them. so I'll pick them up regardless.

much larger set including unreleased material.

LMAO. These albums are already being sold on eBay. If these get into collectors' hands before the Estate can even manage to announce this release, it would be hilarious.

Agree with most of your sentiments. I hope there's something other than just vinyl as I have zero interest in that format, so won't bee spending a penny if that's all they're offering.

I really hope this is true but this estate don't exactly fill you with confidence.

It will be so frustrating to not get that Glam Slam 92 show knowing it's done and ready with great sound quality.

the most frustrating thing is is that some raw video footage of the Glam Slam show was shared to some days after the Celebration, so the video of it is in the wild so to say.

If these are due for release, maybe they are linked to a SDE tying both albums together. Estate's like Bowie's have the main box set including the album, bonus tracks and unreleased music all in one, then a few months or so later the individual albums are made for release separately. This could be a case of D&P and Love Symbol being available separately, and all the new/exclusive stuff being kept in the big box set

the 1999 and SOTT remasters sound very good to me, I'm super happy with them and haven't
listened to the old pressings of them ever since we got the SDE releases.

This is a leak, nothing has been officially announced, so we may still be getting a SDE.

Like the other SDE release, they too had standard version of those albums released. So let's wait for an official announcement. One thing I can guarentee though, we will get more merch options.
