it's possible they have made the very wise choice to not try and replicate every single remix and edit on vinyl and instead save the complete edition for the CD.

that being said, if this set is 14 LP's and 4 are confirmed already then.... that's like 6 or 8 sides of vault traxx!!!!

As the photos on page 1 demonstrate, there's going to be a remastered Love Symbol album as well. Is it safe to assume it will be getting the deluxe treatment, too, having a disc of remixes and edits?

If they release two separate SDE's at the same time I will take away everything bad I have ever said about Sharon and Spicer and I will bow down to them eternally

Gonna be funny when the DM SDE comes out and it isn't the revelation people think it should be in terms of remastering. I think that album needed better production/mixing/instrument choices.

Right, those tracks were quickly recorded basically as home demos, and the raw sound has a lot to do with the gear used, the recording space, and microphone placements. Same goes for a lot of Prince's 80s work when he was more concerned about getting ideas down as quickly as possible than having everything sound perfect by audiophile standards.

Not to say there aren't small improvements that can be made, it just won't be some drastic, revelatory new listening experience.

Oh please. Most sources have said it's canceled. A few that work in record stores says their list of stuff to come out has not been updated with the cancellation. Doesn't mean it didn't happen.

...and why put the edit version of singles and forget Clockin" the jizz and the other instrumental pieces? Mah.

I still hope in a SDE with some unreleased songs and all the b-sides.

After these 2 editions of remastered version of D&P/Lovesymbol.....a next 14 lps version is strongly rumoured coming !

and no Glam Slam 92 show. We know that's prepped in great quality. Video as well as audio.

Let's hope that's included somehow otherwise nothing new here for longtime fans. I've never seen any point in the edits
