Ya I might agree. You could argue that he was not a fully formed artist yet but it certainly sounds like his voice but the music doesn't sound very Prince like. I know that it's only 1977 so please don't get all up in arms about it. I'd like some kind of verification. If an image of a labeled cassette tape emerges, I'd give it some credence but only some. |

This came from a bandmember who was around that time and I think he would know this was Prince or not especially when it;s obviously his voice. Plus there's a better quality and slightly longer version of it with someone who shared it with bandmembers so this tape sourced copy could be shared with the fans. Just sad that it had to take 2 or 3 years for it to happen. Now I just want to hear the slightly longer and better quality version so hopefullt The Estate will release that on a For You SDE (highly doubtful given the lyrics. If they are even too scared to release ExtraLovable or Lust U Always then this one will never be released.)

Well you can say that nothing on For You sounds like Prince vause his style was not develouped yet.to my all those who doubt its Prince are funny.u can easy recognise his normal voice and his early styles of bass and guitar playing |

was it Bobby? He was around at that time... he was known to leak some things from time to time (he was the assumed source for the original "City Lights" recordings.
and there is nothing in the lyrics that is in the same level as "rape." He is not advocating murder or abuse but something that is a thing... "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

Singing about 'rape' is not the same as actual Rape. If that was so no movie should have been released depicting rape. Beleieve me The Estate will decide that someone telling you to choke yourself to the point of death is equaly disturbing as a fantasy line about rape. If that flies then they'll probably get all scared about Prince snorting coke and offering it to someone in the beginning of the track. In the end it's just a song and none of it is harmful.

i find it amusing that folks think it was only because of discussion here that the track was finally shared, there are other places where fans are ya know
.
.and when are folks gonna get the title right? the word baby's dpesmt appear in any part of they lyrics
I find it amusing that you make up something that nobody declared because everyone is fully aware that discussions on this track and it's contents and other info were not from here. According to some the original title isn;t even Neurotic Lover's Bedroom so get off your high horse.

Exactly so the Estate could get all scared about that. And BTW in ExtraLoveable he's only saying he's raping someone 'unless'. And still it's just a song, like a story, movie, book etc. It's not like it's a snuff recording or something and pathetic that some can get all bothered by it, while rapping along with Push about snatching up kiddies like a circus clown. Prince wrote that and didn't care when he released it so..

So much of it does though even if they are quick glimpses. On the surface it's not a obvious Prince song, but he doesn't get to some of the signatures without making this. I think this song was one of the blueprints for him.
Like if you wonder how he starts at Soft and Wet then gets to Sexuality's breakdown to Lets Go Crazy solos to Kiss, to the Batman stuff and then even to much later material you can really look at this song and see him playing with some of the same elements. He's got the Pfunk Bootsy breakdown with the Sly base and introduces rock guitars or rhythm guitar in a way that personafied Prince.
Also reminds me of the early Rick Rubin drum machine tracks. Pretty crude but you know where it ends up. |

"Quite a lot"? There's a whole porn genre on choking. I would not say death happens with this kink at all. Just so happens two famous people allegedly died from it. |

I would expect and hope that people would not make mention of who actually leaked them given the estate is not against suing people for it ala Wally Safford. |

I haven't said it is not Prince. I said it sounds like his voice but the music doesn't sound like anything he's ever done since 1977. My ears are open and I'm willing to agree that it is him but all things being equal and this being 2020 with all the available technology and software, if it turned out that it's not actually Prince or the backing track is not by Prince, I won't be heartbroken. |

I remember reading about it in one of my father's medical jourals when I was a teen. It was perceived as very dangerous, esp if. one was alone. |

Some of the vocal delivery has Richard Pryor intonation running all the way through it. It's superb.

I really did like the song. Reminds me though of a game we used to play in Jr. high. You would breathe deep, gradually getting faster and faster until you were about hyperventilating. Then someone would grab you from behind and squeeze you around the middle until you passed out. Was weird and kinda fun until one of our parents found us playing it and it was banned! Not sexual at that point in time, just kids being crazy..... Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling... |
