I am very disappointed, you got a mispressing or something because my CD has more tracks than you mentioned.

Please get a good CD and please try again not to mention the flaws menioned by others.

So from reading this interview it looks like they're sticking with the one release per year schedule. So the earlier rumours about 1999 Deluxe at Christmas seem to have been false. The wait between Piano & A Microphone and Originals felt painfully long and it looks like there'll be an equally long wait until the next one.

All I can say is that the ability to release vastly expanded bodies of work in a much more comprehensive way than Purple Rain is being contemplated certainly.

It felt painfully long to me!

this release makes me think Prince may be still alive.....its not his best work and half of it i could do without...which is what he was releasing when alive

Sorry, but P&M is far too flimsy. Especially considering that it was basically an official release of something that was widely bootlegged decades ago.

But they did it in style: a digipack versus a jewel case for the bootleg(s).

Even worse:

Bol.com lists a digipak for P&M (Soort verpakking Digipack) but omits this detail for Originals.

Now let's get this thread back to proper discussion about the album and none of this Bart pedantry bullshit. I posted my own thread because it looked like this thread was going nowhere but as the mods have locked it will repost here. Please only respond if you have actually read my words and have something useful to add/comment on. I particularly want to hear if any sound experts here agree on some of my points esp. with regards to dating of WYLTLM and the later addition of echoey effects on his vocals throughout the album.
