If there are no written contract way is the case moving to trial. What about the singed equity agreement and Tidal claim that someone had POA to sign other docs for Prince.

This is the issue that people need to think about. Why is all of Prince's music still on Tidal if massive copyright infringement is taking place.

The proposal he sent was in the court docs. The proposal was for Tidal to be the admin for licesing the catalogue. Putting something in a rap song sounds like something to brag about or cool to say. It has nothing to do with the offer that was actually made and did go to UMG in the end.

The master tapes are not for sale so you can get off of that and stop beating something into the ground since it was never on the table to begin with.

Oh and no I do not think Tidal should be the admin for Prince's catalog.

I agree. Jay Z is shady. I judge a person by not what they say, but what they "do"! And given Jay Z's shady past, he is not someone to be trusted. Trust and respect is "earned", not given. I think JayZ/Tidal presented a very attractive deal to Prince and Prince wanted to support him and have his music exlusively with Tidal, but the fact of the matter is, you need everything in "writing" these days! This is not the 1940-50's, where peoples word were as good as gold. Nah, people don't play like that anymore. If you don't have things documented, then "where" is the proof?
