No it isn't race based. A lot of the people who had a bad taste when this all happened prior, were African - American. Don't make assumptions when you don't know who is behind the screen.

Lots of African-Americans don't like Jay Z or Beyonce.

Strawman

Fans are upset about almost everything involving Prince

Don't assume it's not race-based, & PLEASE don't be so naive to this shit, because I am sure YOU don't know every person behind the screen either. neutral

Btw, I'm still waiting for someone to provide all of these facts about Jay-Z being a snake, which I have yet to see.

Do not assume it is race based & PLEASE don't be so naive to this shit, because I am sure YOU don't know every person behind the screen either

.

I said to them stop assuming someones race or ethnicity on the org unless they tell you. Don't be naive about this. The assumptions are generally based on a persons own narrow stereotypes.

A whole lot of African-Americans do not like Jay Z plain n simple.

.

Ask those people who called him a snake.

Wow! People really hate Jay Z! I would like to to know Jay Z side side on what happened. People are so quick to dismiss him because he is a rapper.

Race accusations here are silly.
JAY-Z is the same race as Prince.
.
The thing with this is, it's sloppy.
Prince charged people to walk through his house. He had no casket.
To me, he's just someone trying to disguise the fact that he's profiting on Prince's death through the publicity for this song.
.
Shrug.

What??? First off...from Midnight last night until about 3pm, all I heard about all over the internet was Jay-Z's album dropping. He was "profiting" and would seriously still be doing so, if this song was not there. Second, Prince didn't charge people to "walk through his house". He charged people to commune with him in person...in his home. Big difference. Huge. MASSIVE!!!

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Yes, but not always. Or for the rest of our lives we are imature children jumping at ghosts.
Sometimes it is a strawman or a monkey wrench thrown in to distract from the real deal.

I've seen women arguing/debating with a man, loosing the arguement throw in that man must be sexist or something to try to get people to pay further attention to them and disqualify the man in the debate.
Race cannot be the first thing that comes up whenever...

The fact is many African-Americans do NOT like Jay Z

And to assume the people on here who disagree with him are non-Black racists is BS

And it is a very weak arguement.
I know some ladies who are African-American and we worked together on Police Brutality issues, I believe it was Beyonce's Formation thing that came up and they went on about their dislike for Jay Z and what they think of him and how they still feel he cause a lot of trouble in the communities etc etc.
These were Black women.

You greedy bastards sold tickets to walk through his house I'm surprised you ain't auction off the casket

GO JAY Z Thats hitting HARD

No matter what anyone else thinks about him...

Jay Z had a LOT of respect for Prince...I dont think he is being driven strictly by dollars..He has enough...I believe Jayz and Prince understood each other on a Level that many did not.

Dude, I didn't say all African-Americans don't like him. Stop trying to create a further derailed arguement. I said many African-American do not like JayZ

Is there some law that says "Thou Must Like JayZ if Thou Identify As Black?" Hell U dam well a whole bunch of them don't like Beyonce or Floyonce as people call her.

That fact is that those ladies were African-American. No more proof.

and neither does Kanye West lol

Jay Z Under Fire by Black Scholar for 'Pulling Out the Race Card'

http://www.thewrap.com/jay-z-under-fire-for-pulling-out-the-race-card-in-tidal-debate/

But nationally known scholar, Boyce D. Watkins, Ph.D., who frequently speaks out on issues involving social justice, tells TheWrap Jay Z may have gone too far.

“He’s invoking the names of Freddie Gray, Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, which have become somewhat sacred in the black community, and you’re invoking those into this conversation you’re having about whether your

multimillion-dollar corporation is going to be successful or not?” Watkins said. “I think that that unfortunately can come off as somewhat disingenuous, because I don’t recall Jay Z ever really being that vocal, that irate over any issue that did not involve himself

Oh, I didn't buy "Fart Official Age" or "Shit N Run" from there or anywhere else for that matter. Not because of where they were sold, but because he sold out the way his music sounded so I just strictly didn't buy them at all. I don't give Prince a pass either. My days of buying something strictly because Prince made were over by then. To buy something and then bitch about it does no good because Prince had your money whether you liked the product or not. The best way to show you don't like a product is to make them feel it in the pocketbook. Now, "Purple Rain Deluxe", on the other hand, I bought it on the first day of release and even called Best Buy a few days early to make sure they had it before wasting my time driving up there. And if they didn't have it, I would have searched all over the place for it. I gladly support things I like and if I don't like it, I don't spend one cent on it.

Prince grew up both albums are excellent.

I adore Art Official Age.

I think people are confusing Jay-Z the hip hop artist and Sean Carter the businessman.
JayZ, -- 'if you don’t like his lyrics press fast forward’. (99 problems)
Jay Z is an entertainer, you like his music or you don’t, why say bad things about him personally? Just say you don’t like the music if that’s the case. Move on.
Sean Carter, has proven himself to be a successful businessman and worked with Prince with mutual respect.
Sheesh, leave race out of it.
