cloveringold85 said: It is quite possible that Prince's dependency on pain pills only began to worsen in the last couple of years of his life. If that's the case, then no one would have noticed something was "off" with him. Prince admitted to taking one or two pain pills that night when they had the emergency in Moline, according to reports for the Time Tribune. Prince did not have an Rx for Percocet, but KJ did. First KJ says he did not know Prince had any addiction to opiates, then he changes his story. . Witnesses at Prince’s death scene told investigators that the musician had been struggling with opioid abuse and withdrawal. Johnson, who was also the head of Paisley Park security, told authorities that Prince reported “not feeling well” in the hours before he died. But Johnson, despite being close to the singer since the 1980s, told investigators that he didn’t know that Prince was addicted to pain medication. . http://www.startribune.co...419614143/
This right here. This is what has stuck with me since that day. People in his circle were eagerly saying this from the beginning. It was obviously a current legit concern and issue in his life. They have no reason to be untruthful about it. The sooner evetyone just accepts it and moves on perhaps we can start having spirited convo's on the org about other topics/subjects Prince-related. Its disheartening to think this is all hes about now, that there is absolutely nothing else of interest to discuss about him. I hope thats not the case. Now that would be really sad. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

. Personally, I think that Prince had a lot of people in his circle who knew Prince was in trouble, but turned a blind-eye. I'm not saying "all", but a majority of them. Maybe they were in denial and just didn't want to believe it, but turning a blind-eye to someone who clearly needs help is no different than being an enabler to that person's addiction/dependency, imo.

. I understand; Prince was gonna do what he wanted to do, no matter what people told him. It's unfortunate that they didn't get help for him sooner.

do we really know? Alan Leeds said it was death by yes but Alan probably hasn't spoken to the guy in over 20 years, how would he know really? We don't know how much pain the man was in, we don't know if he had other ailments, we don't know much of anything.

I do not believe that Prince knew he was taking Fentanyl. It is unfortunately common for illegal street drugs to be mixed with Fentanyl. Even experienced users are afraid of this drug, and are using dipping strips and other ways to determine if their drugs are mixed with it. The manufacturer of Prince's pills did not care about who was harmed or killed. No doubt others have died from the same batch of pills that killed Prince. This is a horrible thing and Prince became a statistic, along with the hundreds of other users who took some bad pills.

Why is it so hard for people to believe that Prince knew exactly what he was taking and accidentally killed himself? Yes men enabled him but ultimately he took his own life. Probably by accident, but nonetheless, he did it himself.

. Agreed; none of us know what really went on in Prince's private life.

I will never understand why whoever took him to Walgreens the night before he died did NOT stay with him but left him by himself. I just don't understand.

. Yes, that is the perplexing question that has been on everyone's mind. The reason could be that no one saw a reason to stay the night with him, or he asked them to leave. But, the biggest problem I have with the evening of the 20th, is that if his team was planning an intervention with Dr. K's Son, Andrew arriving at PP, and they felt Prince's condition was deteriorating, common sense would tell you to not leave him alone and get him help, immediately.......not in a few hours or the next morning, ya know? . And, we still don't know who took him to Walgreen's. .

“Something I want to make clear: Prince used because it’d make him a better performer; he wasn’t doing it just for kicks.” What kills me is that this lawyer made this statement like he was Prince's best friend, who kept track of all of Prince's moves like a biogrpaher. How about the lawyer make clear that this allegation is based on a conversation with Prince's half brother and half sister that sued Pirnce? There's no way to confirm or deny these claims. Saying something matter-of-factly does not make it fact. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

Did anyone else catch the comment in article that said Prince had complained about not feeling well In the hours prior to his death?? I didn't catch that b4. I wonder who he told that to ....wbo spoke to P just HOURS prior to his death? God that makes me angry bc clearly someone knew he was feeling bad again and should have insisted they stay w him. I'm guessing he had taken a couple of pain pills earlier in day and maybe they had fent in them but at a lower dose and he was starting to get sick from it that night. Then he takes the one with the huge amount in it and that was all she wrote. Sighhhsss.. my heart hurts. Truly. All I can say is thank you Prince you saved my life. Love and miss you!!

I don´t like to write on this kind of boards because we are mostly speculating and exchange of opinions quickly turn into discussions, but I´d really like to know one thing: with such high levels on his body, would he have time (or be able to) to put his clothes (if the backward cloth thing is real) and get into the elevator for help? Is there is any doctor here who could clarify that ?

I got this, but my point was if he would be able or even had time enough to do it.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
. So, it is your belief that Prince wanted out? You think he had enough and was ready to go in an elevator, and clothes on backwards? You think with that much Fentanyl in his body, he had the strength to walk to the elevator on his own?

. Yes, that was an old lawsuit against Prince. Of course the lawyer is going to say that to make Prince look bad.

. All we know is that Prince was dropped off around 8PM on April 20th, 2016, and we suspect it was KJ, but there were stories that he went out of town (Switzerland), but he could have still been in Chanhassen on the 20th. . Prince saved your life? I'm glad to hear that and hope you are doing well. Yes, it still hurts and we all miss him, terribly.

. I am not a doctor, but we've been discussing this quite a bit here. I also have a hard time believing that with the lethal amount of Fentanyl that Prince had in his system, he could not have possibly been able to walk to the elevator. I just do not believe that is possible, unless he walked into the elevator, then took the lethal dose--which really doesn't make sense either, because why would he do something like that, and especially in an elevator? . The clothes on backwards -- another big mystery.

Plainly nobody thought Prince was going to die that night. All emotional reasons aside (you actually can't insist on staying where you're not welcome if the person isn't actively trying to kill themselves -- for instance, if P was standing there with a knife to his throat, you could reasonably stay there whether he wants you to leave or not, but otherwise, NOPE, he could have you forcibly removed if he wanted to, and there'd be nothing you could legally do about it), nobody could have predicted that would happen, unfortunately. And honestly I think most of his people were probably seriously kicking themselves for not moving faster, even if they could not possibly have done anything faster. This wasn't some shit any reasonable person could have predicted.
I know it's not the answer you want, but it's the only one. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

Do we have any doctors on here who can tell us if that is a reasonable gastric level of fentanyl for someone who od'ed? I can understand an elevated about being in his system, but these amounts seem extraordinarly high. It makes me wonder if this was intentional on P's part.
