Good Lord !!!! You do not think she is mad because she helped him kill himself eek

WTF??? Am I writing in japanese?

Where did i say that? You are really something, Laura. I was implying that perhaps she called after the plane incident and asked Kirk if Prince was addicted to anything, like pain meds or whatever and because at the time he replyied Prince was not, makes her mad now that Kirk might have hidden something as serious as this from her.

By the way, this is all hypothetical, just theories and people discussing in a forum. But I'm gonna stop posting. I'm sick and tired of your accusations, Laura, of you misreading everything fucking thing I write. So either I can't write my thoughts or you have some form of dyslexia...

You must be reading Japanese. I am asking you a question. I did not say you said anything.

Here is another question. You seem to be pondering what Jill could be mad at?

I kind of think she would be mad at Kirk for helping Prince kill himself by obtaining those meds.

(may thoughts on what she might be mad about)

Don't make fun of people with dyslexia.

Agree. She is a black hole for attention - any kind.

Yeah. Let's make this all about drug addiction. Even better - let's make Prince a poster boy for opiod addicts. Preferably those who take opiods for "emotional pain". (sarcasm alert)

That would be a hell of a lot better than the crazy directions and speculations that some people derailing these threads. Stick with the facts and stop creating more to the story than there is. So what if he's the poster boy for opiate addiction. Perhaps his story could save lives. Perhaps his story could encourage the overhaul desperately needed in this country for the safe and responsible use of opiates. There's so much work to be done and his death could be a turning point. But not as long as some of the nutjobs on here keep making it about hidden agendas, conspiracy theories, murder plots, and other unrelated garbage that pollutes the org. It's disgusting really and only fuels the negative narrative people assume when someone od's. Dammit people respect the legitimate struggle the man had and embrace it as an opportunity to make the world safer and better. It doesn't matter how many times or how many different ways Laura and others like her spew their s***. She isn't doing her "cause" any good. She isn't doing Prince's memory any good. She's too ignorant or has a tragically self inflated ego that's caused permanent brain damage to see what she's doing. I don't think some people on here have a clue what they think they are accomplishing here. I'll say again some people need to take a seat and think about that. What is their motivation here? It's not good or positive and I don't understand why it's allowed.

Isn't that basically the same thing lots of people are saying here on the org?

No, it is not. At least not in the way you are implying.

Personally, I think Prince was self medicating for a long time and had a manageable addiction. It become out of hand in later years because of age, developing high tolerance, continuing physical pain and the strain of having to hide all this. It started to take its toll.

And the reason he had to hide all this is because of how most people react to it, seeing it as a weakness and refusing to accept someone as in control as Prince would fall prey to this condition. Ultimately, we did not know him.

MMJas, I agree with your summation. Prince gave me the vibe of image/brand control. He created this world that he lived in and did not want the outside world in. I think after a long time, he even began to believe some of the things he created for the Prince image.

I do not understand what is wrong with Prince having an addiction? He is human. It does not take away from his vast creations, it does not tarnish him or belittle him.

As a fan, I did not know him personally. I had an image of him. I am not here to judge him or anyone. I am surprised that he had this struggle due to the image. I have learned that not everything or everyone is what it seems. We all have our faults, from addictions to eating 1 piece of candy too much, or spending money we do not have to whatever.

The more I read and try to understand, the only thing that is clear, is that I, as a fan, did not know Prince at all as a human and barely as an artist. Nothing negative.

So what if he's the poster boy for opiate addiction machinegun The fact that you think this is what he should be remembered for after 40 years of speaks volumes about you.

You do not give a shit about the music or anything but making Prince the poster boy for opiad abuse as if he did nothing else his entire life because that is what the media and the world is going to remember.

What people should be educated about his big Pharma and how they push these meds to be prescribed and doctors who over prescribe them but that would interfere with the money making machine and the media would never go in that direction.

Now if you think this is bullshit we can all see what you are about because this is real shit that is going on and as time goes on we are going to find out what devastating effects these meds had on his health.

Agree, Sonshine. If anything good can come out of this disaster of Prince's death it's that other lives can be saved from this horrific opioid epidemic. Why some people the idea of saving these lives offensive is not a place I really want to go...

I remember reading a comment from Jill that at Denise's memorial service she saw Prince, and she thought he was on something or something was wrong with him medically. Apparently, the other girls from the 80s thought the same thing.

It's lighten up because by saying you might have form of dyslexia does not mean I'm making fun of anyone. The only person who is sick is you. I have no attitude to people who are addicted to drugs.

I have a problem with you trying to make Prince the king of the drug users.

There is no evidence of him being a recreational users of drugs. He did not will joint pain on himself.

If you want him to be a poster boy let it be for reducing the powerful drugs that are being given out for chronic pain and reserch to find other ways to treat chronic pain. Like using stem cells.

Try thinking about solving a real problem instead of destroying someone's image and making them out to be something they are not.

Laura are you truly this obtuse? After a full year and what must be thousands of posts and countless you've spent here, do you really have still have so little understanding of the opioid epidemic that killed 30k+ people last year?

-

I'll spell it out for you: Many, many of the people who have died in this epidemic were not "recreational drug users," even by your amorphous definition. They were people who started taking prescribed opioids for physical pain relief (so therefore, the "good kind" of opioid user, in your moral universe).

-

I've read so much of what you've written here over the past year (I can't really avoid it when I'm here, as you post incessantly), and by far the most unsettling thing about your posts is your rage-filled attitude toward people struggling with addiction. From what I can tell, you seem actually HAPPY to see these people die -- especially if they are "recreational" opioid users, the worst scum on earth in your eyes.

Just keep going Laura. The more you say the more you prove my point. Where do you come up with this stuff? Who said anything about recreational use? Who said his success was due to drug use? You are absurd. My support, admiration and respect for the man has not wavered despite the events of his passing. His death was a blip. The 57 years before that day are what matters. Not that day. His death does not define him. I can accept that. Why can't you? His manner of death does not diminish his brilliance or his body of work. Once you believe that you will be much better for it.

What the hell does that mean or have to do with it? How much of his music have you bought? How much of his work have you shared with other people? How many times have you educated others about his many talents and achievements. Have you pledged support for his family and estate to ensure they succeed? Have you been to PP or any other gatherings in his honor? Get going Laura you have work to do and stop worrying about the media.

Agree^^^
Because he was not that. He should be the poster boy for what was real and true he was a genius all the way around and extremely gifted with his music as well as having a big heart and was a kind and giving person.

And how many of you are promoting his work and his genius? How many of you are discussing his music in other threads? How many of you are doing anything you say I'm not doing? You dont have a clue what you are talking about. I can makevthis, about his genius. I'm active in other threads about the music. I promote and support the man and his genius more than the lot of you all together. The only people cementing his legacy are you who won't let this go and move on. You keep this narrative alive. You. Not me. I have more respect for his memory than you ever will. Do you think what youvare doing would make him happy? I assure you that is doubtful. Very doubtful. You are the type of fans that scared him. Unhinged.

Why take that tone with anyone you don't know? You have no idea who and what we were to him...
I don't like that someone did this to Prince...yes he would want us to find the truth...just as he did many times. He would still be here today if someone did not give hi a fake pill laced with fentanyl....

So what if he's the poster boy for opiate addiction machinegun

This. Right. Here. You are a sick person Laura. It's obvious your u rational bias towards drugs and addiction consumes you and makes it impossible for you to understand this entire topic. You need to excuse yourself from this thread now. Your opinions are flawed by your judgemental attitude towards people who suffer from a serious legitimate disease. You are done here.

I've already said all these things Laura. Don't steal my ideas and try to make them yours now. Funny how when I say these things I'm a supporter of illicit drug use and users but when you say them you are a saint. Nice try.

It's ok for others to take a tone but not me? No one did this to him anymore than he did himself. It's ok to say that and still love the man. He couldn't help it. Not on his own. I understand his actions. I don't blame anyone else anymore than I blame him and I don't blame him. It's not always someone's fault. Somethings you can't control. He would still be here today IF...if if if a lot of things. Not justbthat one if. There were a lot of things that led to that pill.

Soooooo... is anyone following what is being bickered about in this thread, or am I just seriously obtuse?

His death doesn't define him, people. If it does, it says more about you than it does about him.

Can't we all agree that Prince was not a recreational drug user but someone who used drugs to alleviate at least one medical/emotional condition, that his position and fame caused him to act in a way that contributed to his death (use of street drugs) because he did not want his addiction to become front page, tabloid news? He was human. He had flaws like we all do. But he also was a very ethical and moral person. He had good character. And he was a musical genius.

Not sure why the negative tone with me....
I stand behind what I have said and that one pill was what did this to him and he did not know it was laced but someone did. That is why this is an ongoing homicide investigation.
