You dont need a search warrant to interview someone.

As a matter of fact you CANT get a search warrant for an interview.

The police merely ask someone for a "sit down" interview or statement.

Those interviews and/or statements are in the police investigative file.

You will NEVER see those statements and/or interviews.

The police asked the Judge for warrants to gain access to medical records,

phone records, home, etc that normally they would not have access to

due to the Constitution of the United States of America that prohibits

the police from entering your premises and pilfering through your

personal possessions, and files without cause.

I did say you needed a search warrant to interview anyone. Statements were taken and the statements are in the warrants. Not sure why a maid's statement would not be in the warrant as well but we have seen no evidence of a maid so it makes it all moot.

I remember reading that if this ever goes to trial the files will become available to the public eventually

Seriously Laura?

The statements that are in the warrants provides information to the Judge as to why

the warrants should be issued!! The police didnt need a maids statement to get the

warrants. It doesnt mean they didnt interview the maid.

There were many people interviewed for which you WILL NEVER see

nor will they become public information.

If it goes to trial you will HEAR about what happened through testimony.

I can tell you through my own experience that prosecutors hold the police

investigative files close to their chest and it is even difficult for a criminal

defense attorney to get a copy of

the statements of those who will be testifying for the prosecution.

For what it's worth, I will add this to the discussion. I have three friends who are on long-term opioid pain medications, prescribed by a pain management doctor. Two of them suffer with chemo-induced neuropathy, which is terribly debilitating and painful, and one of them had a surgery in the military years and years ago that created chronic pain that has never Ben ameliorated. Chronic pain is debilitating mentally and physically. To hear my three friends talk about it, it just becomes this thing that takes over your life. The opioids help, but they don't always take it all away. It is common for individuals who suffer with chronic pain to also suffer depression related to the overwhelming takeover of their lives by this chronic pain. To that end, anti-anxiety medications are often prescribed as well to try to help with the items that the actual pain medication doesn't address.

I haven't been able to read all of the discussion around emotional pain, which seems to have become an issue on the board in the last two days, but I don't think it's a stretch to imagine that an individual who suffers with chronic pain also suffers with emotional distress brought on by that chronic pain. I don't think we should be stuck on the idea that he was prescribed anti-anxiety medications when that is a common practice for people who suffer chronic pain, and I think everyone here pretty much accepts that he did suffer with chronic pain.

Just my two cents worth.

What exactly do you want the family to say? At the end of his life, Prince WAS dealing with a severe opioid addiction. I think most of us who are looking rationally at the facts accept that.

-

It is NOT the family's responsibility to make any statement and certainly not one that backs up whatever conspiracy theories are floating out there.

I agree. I suffer from back problems and have been on hydrocodone for 8yrs. I do respect the meds I take and have never abused them. I have found my recently taking twice as much as normal but it's still under my doctors recommended dosage.
I think my back/leg pain is worst than ever now but these things just allow me to get around, they don't take the pain completely away. I'm saddened by Prince's situation because he never had a chance to get better. I don't think he was going thru withdrawals because he had so many pills available. The hiding them all over thing is a sure sign of having a problem, also almost dying on that plane was another red flag. I'm not sure about the laws in Minnesota but here in TX it's not that easy to get opioids anymore. For sure you can't have a doctor give your friend a prescription meant for you. You can't get more than 1 opioid script within 30 days, and it can't be phoned in by a doctor either. You have to pick up your paper perscription ( printed on department of public safety paper ) in person and have it filled exactly 30 days or later from your last. They also ask for ID, no aliases will work. Too many people are dying out there, this stuff is no joke.
I'm surprised if Minnesota hasn't changed the laws concerning opioids since Prince's death. With all the media coverage lately and Trump in office I think this country is in for a huge change in the way these medications are going to be dealt with and perscribed.

---I am now think he was trying to withdraw but was failing I still think these pills messed up his health he looked really bad in the Australia pics but I do not see how he could have made down to Australia if he was going thru withdrawals.

Still don't think he was going through withdrawals, that is what the witnesses said, I think to justify why certain drs were at PP and Prince was dead. Plus PP IMO was set up to back that story. Don't you think others would have said oh yeah we saw princes so called bottles scattered through out PP.....no one has said this.
He was most likely taking pain meds...and/or what ever else DR S prescribed on the 14th and 20th.
This stood out to me...He and Kirk both had meds given by dr s on the 14th. I wonder if Kirk was switching up meds on P and that is why he went out on the plane. It was still a fake fentanyl laced pill that was given to him not just regular pain meds. It is looking like that was intentional because not all of the pills contained the deadly fentanyl that is were I question what Andrew really brought in those envelopes that the police were to late to see.

Then this...Prince did not have a dr but the two times he went to one it was Kirks dr and Prince winds up dead.

The cell phone and gmails must tell plenty. Both warrants mention kirk, cell gps for whereabouts, calls, texts etc.

He also had access to the after dark gmail account.

Did it strike anyone else that on 04-21 the laptop was in the bedroom, but in the office when they went back to collect it?

Moved and most likely used. You cannot truly delete anything! Computer forensics is amazing.

The results of these search warrants will come to light when they're listed in an arrest warrant. I feel it in my gut and heart.

Where in the warrant does it say the computer was moved to the office when they collected it? We don't know that it was moved or used. Can you provide a link please?

It was definitely moved.

I said if there was a maid would she have not been interviewed or gave a statement like the rest of the statements in the warrants. You are the one that starts going on about how people cannot be forced to talk ( which is not even the point)

Kirk, bodyguards, and Kiran gave statements or were interviewed no maid was I do not think he had a maid and I only said if he did why would her statements not be in the warrent.

You made your point about that I get it let it go already.

------

I know I read that this case file will be avalible if there is a trial. In fact I believe it was even discussed on this board but it does not matter because right now nothing is going to trial.

Once again nothing to talk about.

---------

The only nutty people on this board are the people who want to make sure I do not get the last word so much so that keep going on about that things that are not really that important in the first place.

What information would a maid have given us that the other people did not give?

How is it relevant to anything?

Remember I am the one that said he did not have one in the first place. I do not know what is worst those that can not grow the fuck up or those whose egos are so out of fucking control they cannot stand to be wrong, corrected or challeged. Or do not have enough common sense to know what a question mark means or what an opinion is.

His cousin Charles already made a statement yesterday. He thinks foul play was involved. It is not my job or your job to tell them what to say. He was their brother and cousin. He is being made out to look like some mad junky on the prowl and that is not even what you get when you read the warrants.

He had chronic pain and was seeing a doc for withdrawals. He was on his way to a rehab. The media is not showing any compassion which that are not going to do if know one from the family speaks up. I do not expect you to care about any of this because you do not even believe he had any medical problems at all. So carry on.

Perhaps she called and asked about him after the plane incident and Kirk told her Prince was fine, had the flu. Makes sense he would lie, specially if those were his instructions.

Now, imagine for a second she called Kirk and asked him if Prince was using opiates or whatever... After all, did she not allude in a FB post to having seen him "out of it" the last time she was with him (were not those her words? if someone remembers, please help me out here, I'm not sure i got this right, does anyone have a copy of that post?), and then deleting the whole post? If that were the case, no wonder she would be really mad at Kirk...

Exactly, he went from being a chronic paid suffer, talented and charitable person to being a drug addict who despite some of the nosense spouted by people on this board is still viewed as negative in our society.

This type of coverage can be devestating to his legacy and I do not want to hear any B.S otherwise.

No, it is not. At least not in the way you are implying.

Personally, I think Prince was self medicating for a long time and had a manageable addiction. It become out of hand in later years because of age, developing high tolerance, continuing physical pain and the strain of having to hide all this. It started to take its toll.

And the reason he had to hide all this is because of how most people react to it, seeing it as a weakness and refusing to accept someone as in control as Prince would fall prey to this condition. Ultimately, we did not know him.

I don't think he's being "made out to look like some mad junky on the prowl"; that's what YOU think of someone who is struggling with an addiciton but please don't assume that everyone shares that perspective.

-

How is "the media" showing "no compassion"? Can you provide examples of media reports that you feel are "compassionless"?

-

As for "he had chronic pain" -- as I've said before, we have no facts about the role chronic physical pain played in his life at the end of his life. I know that's a theory you hold (along with the theory that he had epilepsy, cancer, hep c, chronic liver failure, etc. You've touted all of these theories at various points). We don't know if chronic pain played a HUGE role or no role at the end of his life.

Good Lord !!!! You do not think she is mad because she helped him kill himself eek

WTF??? Am I writing in japanese?

Where did i say that? You are really something, Laura. I was implying that perhaps she called after the plane incident and asked Kirk if Prince was addicted to anything, like pain meds or whatever and because at the time he replyied Prince was not, makes her mad now that Kirk might have hidden something as serious as this from her.

By the way, this is all hypothetical, just theories and people discussing in a forum. But I'm gonna stop posting. I'm sick and tired of your accusations, Laura, of you misreading everything fucking thing I write. So either I can't write my thoughts or you have some form of dyslexia...

JH was on that plane when he ODed. And we now know he indeed ODed from the search warrants. So Prince took 1 or two pain pills with JH on board of the plane, then proceeded to have a meal with her (pasta) and suddenly became unresponsive after taking the pills.

Does that mean that the pill he took on the plane was also laced with fenatnyl? I don't think you would od from one or two percocets? Doesn't it actually take quite a bit of effort to od from any type of pills considering all the people who tries to commit suicide but fails?

Wouldn't they have checked what pills were those he took once he addmitted taking them, at the hospital and then, subsequently, by the Police investigation?

Is there any indication on the search warrants as to what pills were those? I can't remember exactly.

Also, he said he took one or two, but could have taken way more, perhaps, cause he was already quite tolerant? Or mixed them with wine. He was having dinner with JH.

No there were just witnesses and Prince said he took 1-2 pain pills.
