I get it. In the end all of us will struggle and die. Does not mean Prince lost everything of himself, his essence, his peace, before his death. Brand new boogie without the hero.

I'm farily certain that the file will create more questions than answers and probably will provide some information into Prince's very private health struggle that will be misconstrued. I'm hoping they release it after the Celebration. The information needs to come out and will come out, but it really isn't that important anymore. If you read between the lines of the CBK Kirk J interview, the investigation report probably doesn't incriminate anyone but there was probably some enabling going on and Prince's struggles were probably a lot more significant than anyone knew. He was at peace with himself and at peace with finding his way back home. That is really all that I need to know. His struggles were more significant but at the same time he was at peace with himself? Prince was definitely at peace with returning to the one. The process of death itself is usually tough for anyone. Those who struggle with food and suffer with heart problems, high blood pressure and/or diabetes often struggle in their final months or years, but that doesnt mean they are not at peace. We have to stop finding fault with Prince's death. It would have been nice for Prince to die of "old age" but that doesn't happen for most of us. He was at peace.

I predict the investigative file will not be released on the 17th and will still be considered an active investigation by the police and DEA.

I agree. I feel that the case will remain under seal. [Edited 4/3/17 14:15pm]

Well let's hope there will be some proper information, it seems very odd to me the almost total silence around it, compared to other celebrity deaths, almost as if something big is being concealed from us all. Even if there's an ongoing investigation there should be at least press conferences with updates?! It's also odd to me that fans or even the media aren't really chasing this up properly either, instead they are failing to ask questions and being distracted by pure speculation and kiss and tells. A proper release of information would help to clear all this up and help people to move on I believe. Lets see what happens on 17th then....

Fine, if you want to bury your head in the sand that's your choice, but there is a police investigation and an annoucement soon needs to be made. Just because you don't want it doesn't mean others think the same.

Nothing they find will ever bring him back . . . it's already hard enough to deal with, knowing that he was "this" close to getting help from an expert and didn't make it.

It won't change that he passed but it will hopefully ensure that justice is done, therefore it is worth a full investigation and results being released.

I agree. My personal goal, as a fan, is to understand why -- why was Prince suffering? Why did it get to this point? Not every fan wants to know that, and I totally respect and understand that. But I do, because it would help me understand his life and world better, and I want to increase my understanding. - Knowing the name of his drug supplier(s) and seeing that person(s) incarcerated likely wouldn't help me get to closer to the goal above. It's possible it could shed some light, but it's not first on my list of things I would like to know.

It's a police investigation, not a movie or album release. They don't need to update fans on shit -- we aren't his family. Stop being petty and let them do their jobs. Just because we haven't heard anything doesn't mean they aren't doing anything. This isn't unusually long for a death like Prince's. They have to track all this stuff down, and it will take a long time to do it.
Geez, people, stop expecting to be kept in the loop. You aren't relatives, therefore you don't deserve information just because you want it.
Get over yourselves already. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

And Prince's last Tweet was: "Just when U think U are safe" that doesn't sound like peace to me. If those closest to him were involved allowing Prince to be poisoned in any number of ways, how could he feel peace? If anyone decided or allowed an unnatural death of Prince, they've gone against the will of God and ended his life on their terms. Even if Prince had significant struggles he was a very brave man, and every day he lived would have been a gift to us all. He was a man who believed in the Truth and the truth is, something doesn't seem right. For all that he fought for, and to have trusted those who he may have called family or friends, with ulterior motives, cries for justice for Prince 2Gether 4Ever

TheFreakerFantastic said: I find it odd that almost one year on there has been total radio silence about the circumstances of his untimely death. I know that the police were doing an investigation but surely by now there should have been updates? I am a little concerned that this is getting brushed under the carpet while we are distracted by all these books and celebration cashing in events. Why is his death being celebrated? This is concerning for me, it's almost as if its been celebrated because now money can be made without the risk of being sued. Band members can reunite and everything can now get released and exploited for cash and his wishes seem to have beem ignored, it's as if he wasn't a living breathing human! Why wasn't the celebration in June as they always were? Why is it so ridiculously expensive? It just takes hardcore fans for the mugs that they often are!
If you compare this with George Michael, a proper investigation was done, they did proper tests before allowing the funeral and we now know it was heart failure. In contrast, it seems that they couldn't cremate Prince quick enough - odd seeing as this was a potential crime scene. Why, 1 year on have we really heard nothing and why is the .org and other places almost complicit in trying to brush this under the carpet by not allowing discussion on it. If this was murder, as I suspect, then those that did the murder have got exactly what they want - distracted fans and no mention of the circumstances of his death.
COME ON PPL - WE NEED ANSWERS AND IF WE ARE TRUE FANS WE SHOULD BE FIGHTING FOR THE TRUTH AND HIS WISHES NOT JUST MINDLESSLY BUYING ALL THE CASHING IN TRASH!
[Edited 4/2/17 9:35am] Exactly! I wonder the same thing so much I had 2 bad dreams recently about me arguing with people in Chanhassen about why they don't care what happened to Prince. I love Prince like he's my next of kin and you're damn right I want justice and there is no celebrating shit until I find out what happened to my beloved. I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

Because at the time, it didn't look like a crime had been committed. It looked like Prince had simply died. It could have been anything at that point -- a heart attack, a slip and fall, he just stopped breathing, who the hell knows.
THey aren't going to rope it off as a crime scene if it doesn't look like a murder, like he's laying there with a gaping shotgun wound and a pool of blood, or something like that.
Please take a deep breath and find a new hobby -- being an armchair criminal investigator isn't working out for you. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.
