Just questioning one thing about all of this, but not disputing the way this is detailed to us (so anyone should answer, it's not specifically directed to 1Sasha): who has officially confirmed on record that this is the course of events re the telephone calls? I know Will Smith said he spoke to P on the night of the 20th. But all this other stuff, did it come from a "source"?

Going off of memory here, Someone posted this info along with proof... I have tried searching my guess is the thread was completely removed.

Thanks. Hopefully some one else either has the info or can point to it.

Finally found the article that says it was Phaedra that placed the call to DR Kornfeld here it is..."Ellis-Lamkins called Dr. Howard Kornfeld, a pain and addiction specialist in Mill Valley, Calif.,"
This link has a bit of info on her in it too...

Once again where is the source for the proof of what they wrote?
Much of this still does not add up...the article even mentions all of his prescriptions??? SMH
The search for where the fentanyl laced pills came from has turned up nothing because Prince did not obtain them ...if he did they would have closed this case and would no who sold it.

Someone had to have given that info to the Startrib but they do not disclose who the person or persons are that told them this. Dr should have a call log of who called...

Well, if it's not an official source who shared the info and a name isn't given as the source then it's really nothing more than hearsay, gossip, rumor, etc.... There's been an awful lot of information passed out that comes from anonymous sources. We can't look at it as anything more than that if no name is attached.

I don't think he procured the pills himself. Someone got them for him. I know it sounds crazy, and I understand the opioid epidemic in Minnesota has been at a fever pitch, but for his former Grand Slam manager to die the same way shortly after Prince ... Any possible connection? The more time passes, the more nothing is adding up here. And I have to say I find it offensive that people are celebrating around his death date. Are you kidding me?

Ask Tyka and Omarr. They chose to schedule these Celebration events around the anniversary of his passing.

I agree with you. Nothing has or is adding up. Seems Prince had no idea what was about to happen to him.
Also noticed the Cali Drs used his death to promote their clinic?!?!

I'm on the Rogi train. All this "fans deserve to know" is really selfish imo. Takes away from the man and his work.

When people say stuff like this to me it just sounds artificial.

The statement that it takes away from him and his work imo is just BS, if someone is a Prince fan, its because of who he was and his work in the first place, how does wanting to know what happened take away from that...flawed logic.

His death is controversial and surrounded by things that dont add up.

Its completly normal for people to want to know what happened.

I find it even more strange when people try to promote an attitude of we should just move on and not think about what may have happened to him, just honour his music bla bla bla.

So you hang around here and pick the bones and write the one millionth post with "doesn't add up" in it. My opinion is not artifical or flawed logic. It's not normal to endlessly obsess over the unknown and call that true fandom. Or as Prince might say - fanatic-dom.

Prince himself always looked for the truth...remember...someone lied about the way someone died...Starous. He himself always looked for the answers to questions.
Those of us on here speculating care about what happened to Prince. There is nothing wrong with searching for the truth, it is sad that we have been lied to.

to me the most simple explnation is he had pain and he took meds for the pain. over time they became less effective. I do not think he abused them. I think he needed relife. He also did not want to have it known. And at some point he was not able to get the meds via offical sources so he used another means. And he ODed not once but twice. Like my brother--who ODed and got help and then did it again and died. It happens it is a problem with pills... like he said "the pill's gonna cause a side effect that will take another pill to correct and the whole thing leaves you feeling less than good"

Well Im not here everyday obsessing over it.

But I definitly still await some type of clear explanation as to what really happened and continue untill then to wonder why the whole thing has a "cover up" feel about it.

It seems many people feel same way as me or i feel same way as them, and thats why u have sooo many posts on this topic. BTW Im not reading every single post on the thread so if I say or use same words as others used its more down to fact people are feeling the same way , im just expressing myself not trying repeat what someone said.

I dont see how me feeling that way is taking anything away from Prince , his music etc.

So I refer to the comment that because someone wants to know the truth in a situation that seems to smell of a cover up, you say that somehow takes away from Prince's legacy, to me that is flawed logic.

Legacy and what happened to Prince are 2 seperate things.

I said it takes away from the man and his work. Never mentioned legacy. You did. An inordinate amount of posts are spent obsesseing over his death details. Those of us who want to post differently and agree with someone else that feels the same way, hey, it's a free country, so far.

Have people thought about what they're gonna do if nothing is revealed next week like they're anticipating it to be?

One thing which seems sure to me at least - but let me add I have no personal knowledge of the case - is that Prince apparently did not have a long-term primary care physician in the Chanhassen area, or that he had stopped seeing that person before recently going to see Kirk's doctor, Dr. S. No one needs to reiterate to me Prince's desire for privacy, etc., etc., but don't you think that's strange? Here his appearance started to deteriorate in 2015, and then he finds himself in 2016 looking skeletal and poor skin color but there is no PCP around? I am sorry, but none of this adds up for me.

I was wondering why there was little word on the investigation a few weeks ago but what else is there to really say..?

We already know that Prince died of a Fentanyl overdose and we also know that opioid abuse is a real problem in the US and Fentanyl (as a synthetic opioid) is the cause of many more drug related deaths in society, but Prince's death was one of many. It makes me sad as a fan, especially watching his live performances on YT, or thinking back to when I saw him in concert. I wish it could be different but it is the way it is.

The illegal trade in opioids and cross-contamination with just a few grammes of Fentanyl is the unfortunate danger and risk you take if you decide to acquire these types of meds illegally. Do we need to find the supplier, I guess so. It's illegal activity that is affecting many people so the trade in these drugs should be stopped, but will it ever be? As long as there are people who want drugs then there will be a market. I'm sure the police want to conclude the investigation at some point but Prince's death isn't going to stop this infortunately

Prince was given a warning on that flight, he didn't heed it and wasn't able to, being in the grip of opioid addiction. Lenny Kravitz had mentioned previously that he knew something was going on but there are just glimpses of the truth that we're being given. It doesn't even matter that people aren't coming out and saying, look, this is how it was. It's not going to bring Prince back and I can actually understand that his friends and ex-bandmates want to protect the privacy that Prince had during his lifetime.

None of this matters though, Prince's death wasn't murder, there's no conspiracy but Prince's access to drugs and his functioning addiction (because this is what it was) led him down a dangerous road and seemingly contaminated meds was the cause.

It sucks (big time) but that's what we are left with and for once I really just think we should focus on the incredible music and legacy we were left with. Prince's death will not define him or his legacy, thankfully - his music will do that.

Great post.

No. It's an absolutely AWESOME post! Very eloquent and well stated. And unfortunately for us all, most likely based on complete and utter facts. Bravo, and thanks for being the voice of reason amidst chaos and craziness. Very much appreciated.

I find it odd that almost one year on there has been total radio silence about the circumstances of his untimely death. I know that the police were doing an investigation but surely by now there should have been updates? I am a little concerned that this is getting brushed under the carpet while we are distracted by all these books and celebration cashing in events.

Why is his death being celebrated? This is concerning for me, it's almost as if its been celebrated because now money can be made without the risk of being sued. Band members can reunite and everything can now get released and exploited for cash and his wishes seem to have beem ignored, it's as if he wasn't a living breathing human!

Why wasn't the celebration in June as they always were? Why is it so ridiculously expensive? It just takes hardcore fans for the mugs that they often are!

If you compare this with George Michael, a proper investigation was done, they did proper tests before allowing the funeral and we now know it was heart failure. In contrast, it seems that they couldn't cremate Prince quick enough - odd seeing as this was a potential crime scene. Why, 1 year on have we really heard nothing and why is the .org and other places almost complicit in trying to brush this under the carpet by not allowing discussion on it. If this was murder, as I suspect, then those that did the murder have got exactly what they want - distracted fans and no mention of the circumstances of his death.

COME ON PPL - WE NEED ANSWERS AND IF WE ARE TRUE FANS WE SHOULD BE FIGHTING FOR THE TRUTH AND HIS WISHES NOT JUST MINDLESSLY BUYING ALL THE CASHING IN TRASH!
