A big tall wall around Paisley Park

What's this about building a wall around pp? Anyone know? Why would they even do that? It's not a prison!

Sorry if this has been posted

I think I read somewhere that there doing it for security confused I'm wondering what are they going to do with all of the momentos currently on the fence and whether theres going to be somewhere else for fans to place them.

Sounds like you won't even be able to see it driving by. That's gotta hurt.

Ok great, I don't like the idea of a wall but I do hope they make another spot available if they go ahead and remove the fence.

If Prince wanted a wall around pp he would have built it himself.

It's going to be hard to hang mementos on a wall.

I know, it's sad hopefully they will think of somewhere else we can place things .

So, let me get this straight...Prince, the world famous rockstar can LIVE there, with limited security, and all manner of people traipsing in and out, with just a fence (and a gate that was often open) but now he has died, his family / estate managers have to build a bloody great wall???

.

Sorry, but WTF!?!?!?

This wall is going to totally destroy the open feeling (or look of) of Paisley Park - it reminds me how when they have events here in Australia such as the Gold Coast car racing how they put up screens so you cannot get a "look in" even if you are driving by because heaven forbid you may see a glimpse of something for freeeeeeee !!!! I am so sad to hear this just as I was when they put the stupid street number on the building, they are slowly going to change it folks and we got to get used to that I guess.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

- Paisley Park is just a couple of weeks from opening its door to the public for tours. But some residents are worried how increased traffic and limited parking will affect their community.

Graceland Holdings, which will operate the facility, says staff is in the process of preserving and archiving all of Prince's music , clothes and instruments so they can be put on display.

"Each room will be thematic. Different stages of his career. The soundstage has different small stages that show different pieces of his career. We'll show you live videos that were recently discovered within the last week that no one has ever seen before," CEO Joel Soden said.

Upcoming plans for Paisley Park tours

Soden says the main entrance will be moved to the south to avoid traffic backing up onto Highway 5. The north and south parking lots will also be connected to allow more on-site parking.

Staff will use shuttles to bring visitors in from other locations during peak times and days.

Soden says in the future, the round unfinished studio building could become a boutique hotel.

They are in the process of replacing the chain link fence with a solid one to increase security and discourage people from putting momentos on it.

"We've actually saved every momento that people put on the walls. Once we open, we're asking the fans to not put those up anymore," Soden said.

At Tuesday night's Chanhassen Planning Commission meeting, about two dozen people showed up to learn more about the project.

This ain't right. Bummer. They put a wall around it, the spray paint will come out. Not a good decision.

This is some straight up and down BULLSHIT!!! I haven't even had the chance to visit PP yet and they're talking about building a wall!? I wanted to put up some momentos when I visit sad this is so unfair because that is apart of us dealing with our grieving..putting up momentos gives us clousure. I don't think P would be happy about this AT ALL. I can see him giving all kinds of side eyes smh.

Aww, a boutique hotel.

Okay, if the wall is the same height as the fence would that be considered a high wall? I'm just asking because I've never seen it outside of pictures, so I'm trying to imagine it. Plus, I'm curious on where parking is going to be in conjunction with all this. There is a daycare center near by, don't want to disrupt them.

I am going to drive up there and look. I'd be disappointed if walls be built around Paisley Park.

This is my normal life. These marital standards cannot be recreated with money.

They can ask all they like.

There'll be broke fans forevermore who can't take the tour but want to show how much they adore. This body is vexed. Yeah i got a cool attitude to this.

I was just thinking about the news video about this. Maybe if a local group volunteered to remove flowers once they've wilted or something.

Terrible idea. Funny that the current chain-link fence which surrounds both Paisley and Prince's former Galpin home property was adequate, even during the peak of Prince's fame in the 80's, but NOW a wall is neccessary.

At least the current chain-link fence sort of blends in and you don't really notice it. A wall might totally change the view of Paisley Park. And like at Graceland (which has a stone wall) people will likely be writing messages and graffiti on the wall. So mementos bad, graffiti and messages good?
