i remember alan saying that people have asked him to consult on the vault. i think AL also mentioned it in the interview he gave to the org back in 2004 or something.

The musicolgy tour grossed 80 million and thousands of dollars have been donated to John's Go/Fund Me page. So people care. The truth of the matter is Alan left to take a job at WB how long do you think he stayed there? He made a bad carreer decision and never really recovered. Prince rocked on does anyone think he was able to keep Paisley Park open by selling symbol pendents? He always found a way to get the dollars rolling in. Prince was sitting on 50 million dollars in Real Estate and who know what other investments he had. Alan knows he messed up.

alan has been a manager for the last 20 yrs, mostly dangelo and maxwell. i think he consults with other artists. you seem to be saying that alan is bitter bcause he left PP. that's just not true. and if WB paid better than PP,and they did, why shouldn't he leave. he had a family and everyone knows Prince didn't pay shit- esp in the 80s-90s. most people in the industry think well of alan- most if not all of the associates do too. he seems to catch all kinds of hell on the org tho. i find that strange.

his family has finally announced plans for an official tribute concert to celebrate the late artists’ life. Yep, I remember because I told him to eat his applesauce and go take a nap.

Everyone else has been very gracious with their comments about the memorial and don't feel the need to demean any of this other employees/associates.

You know "it's nice" of them to throw us a bone by posting a few pictures, the memorial photos and and some video but I can't help thinking that they should of included us even in a small way in that memorial on Saturday (sigh), but hey there giving us a concert !!!!

And once September rolls around Football season starts. I suppose the family could have tried to squeeze the concert in sometime in August but what if they were still lining up performers. It could be as simple as the date they choose was a date that all the performers they wanted could make it and it didn't conflict with the Vikings schedule. We don't know what the family is all going through but I'm going to guess they're not sitting around twiddling their thumbs looking for something to do.

That's what I'm wondering? The 3 that get mentioned, damn near whole families' are connected to the business in some major way. Everybody elses regular families I don't remember big productions. Could be wrong.

Did David Bowie have a public memorial? I didn't really follow his death much. I know Natalie Cole had a service but I don't think it was open to the public. I know sound like a broken record (and probably piss some people off ) but I firmly do not believe its Prince's family's responsibility to provide "closure" for his fans. I think this concert is a really nice gesture and hopefully it will help but at the end of the day we all gotta find our own closure in our own way. That's my believe anyway.

Not every artist has a compound like PP that's in probate and vaults of unpubished music. I can't imagine what Tyka is going through. It's got to be overwhelming.
