LOL Hardly overnight.. "Early thirties" would indicate to the average reader that it was a longer process than that. I could provide photografic evidence, but naaaah.. Just pointing out that people do actually change physically without having surgery, since someone didn't believe this could happen. But somehow I think he would approve of the turn in focus from the ageing of his face to boobs. [Edited 7/30/16 13:38pm]

The wedding was held in Lucas' Skywalker Ranch in MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA on June 22nd, 2013. The reception was held a week later (June 30th) in CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. .
Well, that gave her plenty of time to change her earrings, get a tan, buy glasses and...change her bone structure... Makes perfect sense when I that no of it like that. Oh. P used that time to get botox. [Edited 7/30/16 14:14pm]

Here she is wearing those earrings, those bracelets, her hair the same and she is wearing Prince's sunglasses in the one with him. U're kind of awesome rogifan. Nothing burns me up more than people stating their opinions as matter of fact. None of know if Prince ever had work done or used Botox or whatever. Saying you can know based on looking at photographs is nonsense. Paisley Park is in your heart

Well--to be fair, there are some telltale signs of these kinds of things: non-moving, emotionless faces with the toxin injection; strange dimples that appear in certain expressions with the snippage & stitching, and other stuff. I never saw Prince have that going on tho', and a lot of picutres have been taken of him published by many sources.

You DO know that brushing the teeth twice daily from the time you get them doesn't at ALL keep them white, right? And celebs ALWAYS get some kind of plastic surgery. /sarcasm
Geez, these people with this nonsense! Prince didn't get plastic surgery, he just took great care of himself for most of his life. You know, what most Americans don't do. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

Whitestrips work also, to bleach out the staining of enamel that occurs over time in even the healthiest of lifestyles. You can try 'em, too.

+1 -- Also, if he was indeed seeing a dermatologist regularly, then it would not surprise me if he was using facial products that had sunscreen, which helps to protect against wrinkles. -- Also, my understanding is that he was a night owl, which means that he would be avoiding the sun by being awake at night and sleeping during the day. People, there are photos with Prince showing crow's feet and laugh-lines. I don't doubt that he may have had a little botox done as well as the make-up. But, make-up alone can't hide signs of aging. But, you know, as I am posting this, I am wondering--WTF! Who cares! Now, Prince will never age...and I wanted to grow old WITH HIM. That's the only disappointment I have. No, it isn't. I wanted to grow old with my best friend...and now, she's gone. That's life. But, the point is--what difference does it make on why he never seemed to age photogenically?!! First of all : Prince aged. Period. He used a lot of make up too. But he aged well. He took care of himself in some ways; being a veggie, sportif guy, no alcohol, cigarettes, hard drugs.. - I will enver understand why you Americans are so extremely obsessed with ageing. It's NORMAL. You wanna die being 90yo looking 20something ?! Looking unhuman with teeth white as paper ? Silicon everywhere ? Hair removed where not wanted ? Etc ?

Also, it sounds like once he hit his 30's he ate very nutritious foods, from what I have read (yes, there was the sweet tooth too but he must have just had small amounts of it bc otherwise I imagine he would have started to gain weight from that at some point) Additionally, he lived life how he wanted, was his own boss for a long time, seemed to come and go as he pleased and from around age 40 on he seemed very HAPPY and that really does show on the outside. These past few years, I thought he looked downright beautiful. I loved what he was doing with his hair and makeup Nothing more beautiful than this....yeah yeah yeah I know makeup and photoshop...I don't care. [Edited 7/27/16 9:59am] I rememb

Ugh, this thread is soooo annoying - can someone please post the side by side pic of 1st album Prince/recent Prince? I think the poses were the same, face angle was the same, afros in both. I've seen it on the Org before, it was more of a hair comparison but what I took from it was how little he'd touched his face over the years. There was a time when I wondered if he'd bothered with his nose, but I honestly think it's lighting & contouring when it looks thinner than usual (& for those who don't know or need an extreme example, please watch a transformation from RuPaul's Drag Race - some of those bitches work WONDERS with contouring!!). Just my take...

Because Americans don't think anyone over 40 can have a good life. And it is so freakin' annoying. I say this as an American, who invariably rolls her eyes every time people excitedly inform me I don't look 40. I do look 40, I just don't look like an old dried up hag, as is what's expected of anyone over 30. And I seem to be remarkably cheerful about being 40. Because, yanno, there's nothing wrong with being older.
Or maybe I just haven't been indoctrinated into the youth obssession of the culture by dint of ignoring it. I dunno about anyone else, but I intend to have a huge party when I'm 50 -- I'm looking forward to that shit so hard I can' even describe it. Bring on the wrinkles and white hair, folks. Besides, who's to say my face isn't what 40 is SUPPOSED to look like, if you haven't run yourself into the ground with drinking and partying as a youngin. Also, Prince DID look like a fifty-something to me. A well-preserved, generally healthy fifty-something. And I also kinda wished he realized he didn't need to cover his face with makeup -- it was gorgeous enough without it (okay, not that I can recall seeing him without it, but I kinda think you can't work THAT many miracles with an ugly canvas. ). I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

I just feel like he never did need it in the first place -- nobody does. You look the way you look, get over it and enjoy life. You don't need to 'improve' anything. People might think you're ugly -- so what. A person is so much more than the superficial things. I've dated people who weren't particularly attractive physically because they were interesting and not inclined to dwell on looks.
Of course, I also think makeup is gross and itchy and unnecessary to begin with, so... lol. Weirdly, I'm also very good at applying it, on the exceeedingly rare (I think the last time was about 3 years ago) occasion I apply it. I dunno, I like my face with its chicken pox scar on the forehead, the tiny little moles under my eyes, and the five closed facial piercing marks and see no need to cover them up. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

can someone comment on the light skin transformation over the years..is this part of the aging process?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
What? He's always been light-skinned. I don't think his actual skin color changed dramatically over his life-span, crazy-ass day-glo foundation during the Spooky era notwithstanding.
The difference is as simple as being outside just long enough to get tanned during the day. Hell, right now I'm currently two colors! Mocha-brown where my clothes cover me, a shade darker where it doesn't. It's hilarious, that level of difference. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.
