The fact that he looks so similar in these 2 photos is impressive. However, his face is in a very neutral position, where no lines or wrinkles are showing. His face is a bit fuller and rounder in the 1987 photo.

I looked up what changes actually happen to the face as a person ages. Here are some changes that the article mentions:

The photos below are not perfect comparisons, but it's clear that when he was younger, P's face was plumper and there were fewer creases. In the photos from the 2010s, it's clear that his face is narrower, the bone structure is a bit more pronounced, and the creases are more pronounced. Of course, this is all perfectly normal. I almost feel like I'm splitting hairs mentioning all of this because P aged INCREDIBLY WELL!!! He was still very handsome in his 50s.

Photoshop, makeup and million dollar outfits kept him looking younger than the average 57 year old. However, there's many that looks about as young as his real self did. It's also a matter of dressing smart. Andre Cymone is the perfect example of someone not looking his age, even without photoshop. He is a healthy example.
