I wonder if it's going to be possible/easy to order tickets for the tribute if you live in Europe ?

Oh well, I'm not entirely sure yet I actually want to attend this tribute concert but since I have always wanted to visit Minneapolis, visit Paisley Park ("always" here means 32 years) and since I would be travelling alone, this may be exactly the right time to go when all those lovely purple people will be in town

On the Pollstar page for U.S. Bank Stadium it mentions Mint Condition and no one else so far.

Update: Heard back from Lagoon Cinemas/sister cinema to Uptown too. They declined on the bases that 'their sister cinema uptown recently screened all Prince movies, we're not interested' WOW So surprised. I specified that there are countless out of town fans coming into MPLS for the major Oct 13 event. Guess they don't want to take advantage of this opportunity. Super shocked!!

Not giving up, that was just my first attempts because of location, ratings/reviews and recommendations.

I have sent a reply though asking what the details about private screening bookings. One screen, two movies from about 7pm-1130 (midnight at the latest). Depending on the cost, if we can divide the cost between attendees as the 'double feature movie ticket price' - that could work.

Question:

How many local MPLS/MN fams are there that will be coming to join. I want to reach out to Chanhassen and two other independents next and am curious if some local fans wouldn't mind helping some of the out of towners get back to the DT area for accommodations if we do get Chanhassen for Wednesday night (which would work well for a PP gathering that afternoon). It's just as perfect as that theatre would BE, the transportation ends for the evening so just trying to brain storm ideas. Would be nice if a fam has a mini van, or someone locally knows anyone that does any kind of tours with those school buses or something...we could use it to go TO and FROM Chanhassen as a 'day/night excursion' to PP then the evening at Chanhassen cinemas (provided they are avail). Will check my next few theatres and keep U updated. This will still work out one way or another.

I am not a local MPLS/MN fan, but a fan from WV. I will be flying to MN on 10/10 and staying until 10/15. I have already made flight and hotel arrangements. I am so excited about this trip. I just wish I was coming to see Prince instead of a tribute to him. I am so upset about his death. I really appreciate this site. It's helping me stay up to date on what to expect once I get there and providing me with other information and activities to take in while I'm there. I'm now anxiously waiting for tickets to start selling. I think attending his movies is an outstanding idea and would be more than willing to pay. I'll keep watching this site for any more updates on what the Prince Fan Community will be scheduling! Thank you and I would love to meet any of you!

I did look up Minneapolis MN tours. Found a few in regards to Prince, but I don't know which one you're talking about. Can you tell me more? Maybe a phone number or website?

WOOHOO! Okay I may have just found a PERFECT venue for the movie screenings!! Cross your toes everyone, I just sent off an inquiry about availability for Wednesday and/or Friday (if only ONE option, I'll take it and keep canvassing around for the other). I really like the idea of this one because they give the option of people purchasing their ticket online AND there's an idea to maximize the fundraiser too!!

I have emailed another one as well, and have two more as a back up barring the reply for these.

OI! It might be smaller than I thought. Nevertheless, still will see what they say, and the rest of the replies. Hard to say how many people are going to be down for these screenings ?

Seriously though, who doesn't have email correspondence these days? Even though that one I just contacted may be too small, I might have another option or two...so we are still trucking along!

Me too! Both the movie and the tribute concert. I may be driving myself all the way there alone from CT, but I (and my heart) are 100% in.

Whoeover suggested it, group ticket sales for the concert are a *great* idea!! I travel a lot that way (skiing mostly), and it's a great way to go. For starters, group sales is its own separate entity to work with rather than the box office, so we'd be going as the org and not just random ones and twos. And speaking as someone who plans to come to MPLS alone, I can't even express how much I'd love to meet people who will celebrate Prince's life and art the same way I will. (Man, kinda teared up just writing that.)

I agree with the movie and group tickets sales. That would be awesome. I am bringing my Mother and will continue to look for when tickets start selling. But, will now keep my eyes open here to for your group rate idea.
