With regards to the mayor of Chanhassen, I'm led to believe this is something regarding Paisley Park. But I won't complain if they announce an upcoming ticket sale! I've been saving up in hopes of grabbing one.

I figure it won't be as much of a mad dash as the Revolution ticket sales considering the venue is so much larger.

Thanks for sharing this link. I can't get to the USA until next year due to my work schedule and I had been hoping PP would be "open" before then so I could go and pay my respects. I feel ok about it knowing it was what he wanted.

With the UTCM/SOTT double feature and possibly some other fam get togethers, plus now visiting PP...(possibly twice - once for tour...and once to just...be), that will be a memorable trip in and of itself. The tribute event, will simply be the icing on the purple cake if I am lucky enough to snag a ticket.

MOVIE(S) UPDATE: Seems like weekends are difficult for theatre rentals.

I have a request in for the Wednesday Oct 12 evening as previously stated. It's 'two rental blocks of time as it's for two movies...it's the way they do it. Once I get the confirmation and cost with taxes etc, I will create an eventbrite for those interested to snag tickets (the direct cost of the theatre divided by seat numbers - it works out to $8-10 total for the double feature ($4-5 per movie) with an option to add a $5 donation to the chosen charity in His honour. Up for consideration: #YesWeCode, AutismRocks, or a foodbank or shelter closest in distance to Paisley Park. Tickets for the double feature will be sold first and then will open it for those only interested in one show versus the other. Initially will be limited to the Org first so once officially announced will rely on you guys spreading the word to get as much of the FAM as possible going. In the event of not enough interest HERE, at that point we'll consider selectively spreading the word (otherwise I am stuck with footing the remaining theatre cost, and ...I'm the opposite of rich so... )

***I may need a couple volunteers: super easy like helping me at the door to ensure only ticket holders are entering, (IF the theatre won't since they aren't distributing the tickets since they were 'not interested in these screenings for public' ), and help me with possible raffles & draws and possibly one more thing (tbd). Don't worry, in no way will this encroach on movie watching time!! In exchange for your help, your double feature ticket will be free and first choice of seats - please orgnote me if you are available and interested to help.

I hope this sounds alright so far for everyone! I also will be contacting 2-4 theatres tomorrow regarding the Friday Matinee PR/GB - Please stay tuned for more information.

LOL Seems anywhere I am I'm still a couple "pages" away from where I need to be. I am super happy about the PP opening! But, I'm now worried I wont be able to get THOSE tickets either. LOL It's a non-stop battle for tickets! It's got me so in limbo about this trip. I want to do it all while I'm there, but if I dont get any tickets, I'm kinda screwed. We are all in this boat I guess. I tweeted Londell and asked if the tickets will go on sale with no pre-warning or if it will be announced like the PP tours were. I doubt he will tweet back, but I had to try!

Please keep me up to date on this Prince movie idea. I like it! You had said you were going to try to schedule this for Wednesday evening, correct. Where exactly? And what do we need to do to prove that we are Prince.Org Members? Thanks!

I will definitely inform everyone of the theatre ones confirmed! They are in the closest vicinity to downtown.

A contract has not been signed yet by the estate and US Bank Stadium as of yet. Therefore they do not know at this point when tickets will go on sale. That is 73000 people in the entire world who will be able to get tickets. Prince is a worldwide known icon and has change music in his own special way that everyone knows about him. Out of the entire world 73000 people is a very very small amount of people who can attend this Official Prince Tribute. So knowing ahead of time is extremely important. I called what Google said was the official box office for concert sales for u.s. Bank Stadium and they are not u.s. Bank Stadium they are someone else. There is no one u.s. Bank Stadium ticket sales for concerts only one for the Vikings and they don't have any information about the concert. So the only way to get information is the Ticketmaster or the u.s. Bank Stadium website or subscription. I can't stress how important it is for all of us as a family, a family that includes Prince himself with us, that we work together to get this information as soon as possible so that we all know and that we all get a chance to know ahead of time. To get notifications from either Ticketmaster or the u.s. Bank Stadium you have to have your account setup 24 to 48 hours ahead of time. So if you don't have one set it up now. You may get them before I get them. I have not been getting my Ticketmaster information for years but I have gone in many days ago and changed information so I am hoping I will get it for this. But I am also not going to stop looking for myself and you by doing browser lookups on the internet. Your accounts on Ticketmaster and its affiliate site Live Nation are the same. However you need an account on both I think I'm not sure about that. But I know if yrou change and add and artist to one it will add it to the other. I made my changes to say I live in Minneapolis and I want information 4 Minneapolis 405 days ago but I got information today and it was still on Philadelphia. So I can't rely on that. All I can do is rely on myself and anybody else who is willing to share information they have ahead of time so that our family and this organization and all participate in this awesome wonderful tribute. A once-in-a-lifetime experience for The Purple One.

Are you able to subscribe to notifications for a certain venue? I live in Minneapolis/St Paul and imagine I'd get the notification for the memorial tickets, but I want to be on my A game and cover all my bases.
