Could it be, that as a Hollywood director, writer, producer, etc., who has actually met & worked with Prince, that he has other varied interests & that Prince & his music meant a great deal more to him at a specific point in his life, but for some of us tastes evolve?

Uh & you think that's funny somehow? He made a couple of simple mistakes because he's not ridiculously obsessive. I'm sure if put to the test, there would be things about Prince that you wouldn't know either & yet no one is interested in an hour long webcast about your feelings on his passing.

Parade is by far the superior masterpiece. The experimentation and complex arrangements are Prince at his visionary, world-building finest.

UTCM? - it's no filler but it pales when compared to Parade. But really, seems like a straight commercial cash grab w/a few creative flourishes. Oddly, the singles extended versions are what save it from being too radio friendly.
