This was also a tweet definitely. I followed him closely. I didn't see the Instagram post, but I've read that it missed the dates part which is why the 'safe' part was deleted on the 22/4 I believe.

The hashtag makes it special. It's saying something. He could have just meant, after having cancelled a week before and having done the shows, I am now feeling revitalised. Strange then how maybe an hour later there is an emergency landing. Sorry just doesn't add up.

For what's it worth, regarding the AIDS rumours, a producer friend of mine knew someone who was a driver for the studio he worked at, who also often drove Prince around in the 90s. He was VERY busy after UK shows, usually ferrying Prince around to have a...well, private meeting with a woman he'd picked out of the crowd that night - we're talking most nights, by the way. He was promiscous, based on what I heard from this producer.

I think we're going to see a lot of big names from the 80s/90s pass on over the next few years from AIDS, sadly. Whilst life expectancy for people with AIDS is much better than it used to be, we still don't know exactly how many extra years people suffering from it can gain. And it's not beyond the realms of possibility for it to be the cause of how Prince passed on, I'm afraid. But, again, we'll know the full story soon.

I agree. You know, even if Prince did die of AIDS, so what? Everyone on here knew that Prince was involved with a lot of women, hell they even make jokes about what a "pimp" he was, so why would anyone be shocked, or pretend like it's impossible if he did have AIDS or died from it? It could very well be a possibility! I could believe the rumors that he had HIV and stopped taking his medication, thinking that God would heal him, and it developed into AIDS, and caused his death. We all know that Prince was a very religious, very stubborn man, that did things his way and his way only! If Prince believed something, no one could convince him otherwise. Everyone talks about how he lived a clean life, didn't believe in or take drugs, yet in the next breath, they talk about him being addicted to drugs, and saying that he overdosed. There had to be something other than just hip pain going on with him. The low blood count thing, stomach pain, losing weight, not being able to keep food down, sore throat, etc, those symptoms could be from AIDS also, as well as other things, but some just don't want to face that, or choose to ignore it.....why, because he was Prince? Prince was human just like all of us, and he died, just like all of us will someday, and if it was from an overdose, AIDS, or whatever, it doesn't matter!

Also worth mentioning that, like everyone else on here, it would have been great if he'd rested after the hospital stop on April 14th but...Prince, like Bowie, was born and driven to create and perform. Bowie would have probably had a few more months, even a year, if he hadn't continued to create new music and push himself. But we're talking about true artists here - that's what they did, and it's what they were happiest doing. Who are we to deny them that? I'm just grateful for having seen the greatest musician/performer of all time 20 times live and still being able to listen to his music...it really doesn't matter how he passed on.

I noticed a change in Prince's appearance a few years ago, but considering that he was in his mid 50s, I thought that he was just starting to age. I've seen Prince get very thin in the past also. So really we can't speculate on what it all meant this time around. It could have been that he was seriously ill, but how can we say either way given the facts that I've stated.

That's what I was thinking! Either the pain was excruciating and he was tweaking the dosages, AND/OR he was getting antibiotics to try to get the walking pneumonia under control. Could he have gone one of the times for some melatonin to try to get his insomnia under control? Cough drops? I mean, we just don't know. The couple times I've been really sick I have sent my hubby to CVS a few different times in a short amount of time. Which brings me to this: why didn't Prince stay home in bed and let a friend or assistant go to Walgreens? It really is weird how active he was in light of having a protracted illness. He didn't seem to know how to stop being in motion.

For all we know, Prince could've had one script for Percocet, and the other times he went to the pharmacy were for non schedule drugs, like a antibiotic or blood pressure medicine.

I guess its because some answers are not yet clear. It doesnt mean they think anyone is guilty of anything. Sometimes, as innocent as the truth may be, it isnt always apparent at first. They would be negligent if they didnt investigate in that case.

-- Sorry the promoter already said the additional dates were going to go forward and that she would get s call on April 25 to finalize everything. His health got worst over that weekend due to exactly what we do not know but he was making plans for future shows so he blindsided.

I think it would be shocking if Prince knew he had HIV and didn't try to spread awareness of what a promiscuous life can yield. Why would he choose to change the lyrics of songs or modify his act to be less sexually provocative to honor Jesus/religion but not use his own life story as an example? In all other areas of his life he encouraged people to be bold, be themselves and to mentor others. He mentored so many himself...yet with some of his old lovers from the 80s not saying anything with regards to his death perhaps HIV is a possibility.

I don't think that any celeb would try to spread awareness, because lets face it, they wouldn't want the public to know that they had the disease because of fear that it would affect or end their career. Even today, people don't want to talk about HIV/AIDS, and many won't even consider that it could have been a possibility with Prince. They don't want to even think about that where he's concerned! Now, I'm not saying that this is what Prince died of, because none of us knows and most probably will ever know, I'm just saying that it could be possible. I'm not that blinded by Prince being a superstar that I just place him on a pedestal, and consider him to be not human, because he was. However, I do remember one time when Prince was on stage for an award or somethng, he did tell the audience that he was wild back in the day, but that they did not have to do what he did. I think he was directing that to the other entertainers out there, but I remember clearly him saying that to them. I've also read reports that state that Prince's family would have the results of his autopsy changed if he did in fact have AIDS, because they don't want that known because of the effect that it would have or that they think it would have on his legacy. Now, I don't know if this is true or not, but if it is, that would show just how much things concerning HIV/AIDS haven't changed, and the stigma that still goes along with it.
