What a major blow that we all lost our beloved Prince. I was also shattered when Michael Jackson died as well. The worst day.

Still in shocked disbelief & denial. My words aren't working...

Was madly in love with much of his work for many years. He affected me far more than any other artist has. An absolute musical genius.

Such a sad day for all of us. Even though I didn't know Prince in person, it feels just as losing an old friend and a mentor, and I guess we all feel like that. This man has changed my life in so many ways for the last 28 years that I wouldn't know where to begin.

I thought he'd outlive us all. I thought there were still at least 2 or 3 more decades of wonderful, new music ahead of us. Black Sweat live on piano will become a very special track, the last he ever gave us while living.

Same for me. Prince passing away is the celeb death that has hit me the hardest aside from MJ passing. Prince dying is even more of a shock for me.

I've been crying all day. I tried to listen to Prince's music but I've found that listening to his music and watching his music videos is just too difficult for me right now.

Prince is (I cannot bring myself to use the word WAS nor say RIP. I refuse.) such a genius and totally changed the musical landscape. He has always been such a big part of my life.

I can't even fathom Prince not being here anymore.

I may not post much on this site but I always come here to read updates on Prince on pretty much a weekly basis. I don't want to accept that we won't be discussing his future any longer. Everything is now in the past tense and that hurts like hell.

It's just so unbelievable. Really surreal.

anybody heard anythin from his family or any proteges?

Part of me is hoping that this is a joke and that I've been dreaming 2016. I don't know why I thought this man was immortal and I'd always be able to see him live one day. It's incredibly sad and I feel like an idiot for crying over a man I didn't know personally but he had been part of my life so long .. I had been introduced to his music as a kid and being a life long fan, it really hit me. It hurts, man.

I visited this site periodically over the years. Pretty sure I signed up when I was a child (well, 15, lol) but I had to come back now. It feels like I'm paying my respects in a way. I'm just speechless, really. I still can't believe it. I'm just having a hard time accepting it, I guess.

I'll stop blabbering now but I felt like I needed to get that off my chest and this was the best place to it.
