A few weeks ago my GF (German, 28 y.o.) who had nothing against Prince but wasn't particularly into his music either heard Phase Two and requested a copy because she digged it. And today she just texted me she's so totally in love with that record and she wants more Prince! And a few days back she teased me outta the blue by quoting "if u ever feel like taking a shower with me...". No big deal but it made me happy A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

I don't care anymore to buy this.. maybe his worst album his entire career... Prince 4Ever.

....really? I tend to buy vinyl but I'd say it was pretty rare for me to pay more than £10 in the UK for a new release CD. ---
Yes really. Most new CD's are € 15 - € 20 over here so this is not a rare price. (10 pounds is appr. € 13 U guess?). And yes it will take maybe 2 weeks before it arrives but that's no problem because I can stream it and have the digital download. [Edited 2/13/16 2:39am]

I misread the title as HITnRUN Phase III
On topic, Phase Two is one of my favourite Prince albums at the moment! Nobody I know gun' bite

Yeah, me too. Was ready for something exciting again after the bland second phase [Edited 2/13/16 6:41am] RIP

Tried to vary thread title slightly to help prevent some getting over excited ... and then disappointed! ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

Yes, thank you, I'm aware of the fact that plastic jewel cases can be replaced. My point is that I didn't pay almost $20 for a damaged product and will be returning it. If Prince can be in the middle of a show and complain about the sound, surely I can be in the middle of a Prince forum and post about the buying experience that "The Prince Man" has chosen for us. . Shit happens in the mail - I get that. Paying a premium for a product and having to repair it before it's opened - not for me. How are you paying a premium? I saw this same cd at the record store yesterday for $16.99. The cost of CDs are going up as demand for the physical product declines. Paying between $15 and $20 for a new cd is not uncommon.

I have the album digitally - my plan was to keep the physical copy unopened for now. I'm not David Copperfield and haven't figured out how to replace a jewel case without opening a shrinkwrapped CD. Excuse my stupidity. . It sure is easy to spend other orgers' money around here. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. you can buy it on FB from groups too if you really want it! one listen on Tidal(I kept it and am even happy with it)was enough. Tidal has tons of great other music.

A question I've had since the first listen - How do two broken circles join together and make a butterfly? Is this some kind of geometric poeticism I'm not getting? Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

Does EF let you know when they've dispatched order? We're here, might as well get into it.

Sounds like funk4u is better way to go than EF because I'm calling my bank this week if don't get mine from EF. People seem to be have no problems with funk4u.

I wouldn't get this CD even if they gave it to me for free. Thismusic pales in comparison to Prince's earlier work. I hate to see him so much in an creative rut.

I agree that it is one of his weakest albums, however I have bought every release since my first time in 1982 and I'm not going to stop now. Whereas every Prince album used to be fantastic from beginnig to end they now only contain a few great tracks each time. Newer fans may like his more recent work but it hasn't really appealed to me. However there has been enugh excellent tracks in the last 6 years to put together at least one great compilation album.
The physical CD for Phase One in my local HMV store cost me 13.00 Euro, so 17.60 Euro isn't all that much more to have Phase Two delivered from the states. It may yet get a wide release in which case I will have wasted 4.60 but just in case it never reaches my local Wrecka Stowa it is in my opinion worth the little bit extra.
I'm old school and still want a physical CD. I have had bad experiences with buying digital music in the past and then either the service provider going out of business or my hard drive crashing. With the physical CD I know that the control of the music is entirely in my hands.

The cheapest UK shipping option that comes up with Funk4U is around $13 - how are people getting the cheap option to be chosen?
