Maybe a stupid question but - If you buy it from Tidal is it easy enough put it into your iTunes? . I bought Phase One from iTunes (even tho I already had it) so I'm not keen on paying for it again

Did Prince commission RENATO to play on this album?
... Good elevator music...

I will never pay for Phase One. But Phase Two seems to be better. So give me a physical release if you want my money, dear Prince.

Personally, I'll wait for the iTune download, easier to select just the ones I don't have.
(I bet it will be there in two or three weeks)
As for the CDs -- that's maybe once I'm sure there's no phase 3, then I'll probably get all HnRs.
I've stayed with Tidal because I can afford it, like the sound quality and the vast selection of artists and tracks.

Always a very nice surprise to wake up to new Prince music.
Especially a few new tracks that are stellar including Black Muse, Revelation and When She Comes
The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

well what's stopping you, you've got all the tracks, just make a playlist 3 disc 'the dawn' set. because he's released some stellar tunes these last years but they've usually been surrounded by a bit of fluff and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I know I'm not the first to mention this, but I'm hoping that Prince or one of his crew reads this, or someone on here tweets them (as I am most definitely not on twitter), but I listened to it this morning in the car through my (third) free Tidal subscription, and came home with every intention of buying the FLAC version from the store...I had even decided that I would pay up to $17.99 which to me is an insanely high price for an album these days, but what the hell.
As far as the music goes, I really love it, and it was unexpected, and that's a plus too. Especially loving Black Muse (which sounds like a Rainbow Children outtake, as an old orger friend stated on Facebook this morning) and can't stop singing Groovy Potential. True, I also bought that one from the 3rdeyetunes website years ago, but sometimes those random tracks get lost in the cracks with me, and this was one that I apparently didn't fully appreciate at the time. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Wow, this release is really good and will require more listens before I have a conclusion. This is the album that Hard Rock Lover belonged on but we got even better songs on this release anyway. Revelation...wow...but anyway as a whole this album works very well. We have had a handful of these tracks already but it is nice to have a proper home for them now, with some added tracks that go well with the others. Really in love with Black Muse and Revelation right now. Floored by these two tracks....very happy Groovy Potential is on here now as well, that has been a hidden classic for a while. Scroll up, there's a little Pentacle along with the traditional BVH cranky pants posts + some oddly restrained morsels of Hatrina (my favorite!). I think we'll get the others as soon as they get over their Saturday morning hangover.

I thought Revelation and Big City would be the highlights of this release, but right now the title goes to Black Muse - It's an amazing tune. Also, the potential impact of this album os hugely underminde by the fac that we've had a few of the songs for a long time. If I hadn't heard Groovy Potential and Xtraloveable before I'd be calling this Prince's best album since The Rainbow Children... (in my playlist though Baltimore is going, Free Urself is in; and If I Could Get Yout Attention will follow either Screwdriver or RnRLA)

I agree there has been a lot of strong material the last couple of years that will make up a great playlist. . Got to say he's still full of surprises - he was talking about Phase 2 being in WB hands the other day then it turns up on Tidal today out the blue. . Aside from the previously released tracks we all have I'm really liking the unreleased stuff like Revelation, Look At Me Look At U, When She Comes and Black Muse [Edited 12/12/15 11:25am]
