Fuck it, I just have to ask. Don't y'all have most of that already? confuse

--/ If you did not buy them from the Tidal store or when they were avalible elsewhere no everybody does not have them. Realize that Tidal has a million subscribers many of those people are not checking for P and his one off tracks. So it is new to those people.

I wasn't talking everybody, nor was I talking about anybody else. I said Y'ALL, meaning the people HERE that I knew damn well those songs weren't new to. lol

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Lastly, whoever is bitching about "having" some of this album already....you cannot have it both ways.

Do you want to be a hardcore fan and get his music almost as soon as he makes it? Then, maybe try not to be ungrateful when he does put those songs on an album for mass release/consumption....

Fair point.

Co-Sign...not every fan purchases every itunes/ 3rdeyegirl single and listens to unreleased audio recordings...

These songs are to good to be not released on an album...

If only Prince and his team would not hype everything that much...just say it is a collection of some favourite songs of the last years and people would not complain that much wink

Seriously, a new Prince album used to be something exciting. An event! Something that people were dying to hear. But the way he's doing things now, giving his albums away with newspapers, dropping them on Tidal just like that... It feels as if he puts no thought or effort in his albums whatsoever. And if he does release them thru a record company, he can't be bothered to promote them. So if Prince doesn't care about his albums, why should I?

You can buy it on TIDAL, you don't need to be a member.

It's worthy of a purchase.

This is the review I was waiting for. Now I hope I have a chance to hear this album someday soon.

FLAC files available at the Tidal store, no waiting required.

You have to re-buy Phase 1 to buy Phase 2. Maybe this will change.

So far I can only see the double pack, and I already bought Phase one.

Well, I listened to Phase 2 before coming on here to read the inevitable 'constructive', postive reviews. I like the fact that tracks I've had for some time are finally on an album.

Personal favourite - of the songs we've all heard for some time: Groovy Potential.

Favourite new track: Back Muse or Revelation. Undecided.

I will say, for me there's not a poor track on this album. Screwdriver - played it to death and my personal preference is the extended version previous released. That doesn't make it a poor track, just heard it too much.

A solid release, which will hold more surprises for casual fans, which is likley Prince's intention. cool

I find it a bit strange that he's included Baltimore instead of Free Urself, and Screwdriver doesn't really fit here; I don't really want to pay again for Extraloveable, Groovy Potential and Stare, and I am not a fan of RNR Love Affair; Still, this was a great surprise: I'm loving Look at Me, Look at You, When She Comes and Black Muse (nothing he hasn't done before, but cool songs all the same), it's cool to finally have 2Y2D and Big City, although I am really puzzled by the tempo of this last one, so different from the live version I had heard!

Not a perfect album, but evidence that Prince still can deliver good music. He just needs someone to tell him when it is substandard and focus a bit more (how different 2015 would have been if there was only one Hitnrun with the best from both albums and Free Urself, or if we hadn't heard half of these songs before - we'd be amazed at how good Prince still is!)

Too bad you have to buy the bundle with Phase 1 included.

OH is that why it's $27 for FLAC?! I was like, "Well, good morning! But also...fuck you."

Both for that price is a little more tolerable, but I've already purchased Phase 1. I wouldn't buy it again, even if I did like it. I guess I'll have to hear an unauthorized copy.

Some of the snippets are promising. Look At Me, Look At U sounds really cool. Black Muse and Big City sound awfully similar to me, but a nice sound. I had a feeling 2Y2D would be included, as it's a perfect fit sonically. It will be nice to finally have. When She Comes gives me a Satisfied vibe. Baltimore and RnR work well together. Screwdriver seems like the only odd man out.

Seriously. I'm not buying Phase One again. I'll need to wait for the CD.

Prince listens and simply releases the album to stream and/or download without fuss and most of you still complain?

Revelation is worth the price of admission alone.

Then again, mister "I'm not looking back" is also rehashing tracks that were recorded years ago. And previously he released a video of the first twenty minutes from a concert from a year and a half ago, and all of the songs they played were thirty years old. Yet expanded and remastered editions of his classic 1980s output are not on the table.

If Revelation is shite, Prince's shite is gold.

i'm also not sure if you actually have to pay for HNR1 anymore.

i paid 14 euro's for both albums in 1 pack. i just figured they'd
thrown in HNR1 for free since they're a sort of double pack now
and most people already bought or streamed it anyway.

BVH has been whining and rehashing the same 1 note opinions for close to 2 decades now, perhaps we should throw him a 20th Whining Anniversary Party.

ah, i see now that most other albums are 8,99 or 9,99 or 10,99

so i guess it's a bit weird to package part 1 & 2 together now as
most of us already have it.

however, those buying the whole thing first time now, get it for
a nice discount at 14,99 for both.

i don't really care. 4 euro's. i can deal with that today.

It is a very nice album. There is a jazz/gospel feeling around, a very strong use of horns. I think it is one of more accessibile album he releases (the opposite of Phase I). I'm really happy he releases this in the same project of Phase I: from dubstep to gospel.

I have no problem if half of the album was released as digital singles: the album is omogenous and have a strong vibe.

I will buy this, but to be fair I am going to pay £14.99 for seven new songs. It is a bit pricey.. (even if Screwdriver is a new version, I have already paid for it a few times. I have also paid for Extraloveable, Baltimore, Groovy Potentinal, Stare and RnR Love affair before..).

Great collection of songs, though.
