There was never anything official from his camp regarding that. Folks speculated and ran with that he was tidal exclusive. I think he is testing the waters and making sure he's paid accordingly.

Yeah, that's true I guess, still feels like a bizzare decision though, to me it just intuitively makes sense to have one unified place, be that a streaming site or a store, where you can access all of his material rather than having it in drips and drabs all over the place. Although tbh a lot of Prince's decisions on that regard never made much sense to me, so whatever I don't really care a whole lot as long as I can listen to the music at the end of the day. Anyway, song itself is pretty good, nothing fantastic but it's a decent funky jam with nice bass. Lyrics aren't to my taste but that seems to pretty much be the case with most of his material nowadays so I don't really care too much.

I don't mind what he was trying to do here at all. I just think the horn lines serve no purpose to the song since the melody is kind of weak - it overpowers. If it was an instrumental I'd like it more.
I wish he had a better (maening paying attention) arranger for horns, I liked Leeds a lot for that or imagine a Trombone Shorty vibe.
I hear a lot of potential in what he has done recently but he really has a hard time breaking outside his box. Its a huge box, but a box. One of the tihngs that helps is having someone with enough of a track record and the balls (or uterus) to tell him when something is meh and not feel like they are at risk of being fired/let go. Ot he puts away all his tools and favorite instruments and makes a record with none of those crutches. I'm sure this stuff sounds badass on huge speakers in a studio but it acheives being a nice side dish of little treats, not a meal. Does feel like he's making an effort.

Just my opinion.
