I think the Kiss sample should have been more pronounced, louder.

The # of plays is respectable but purchases are what matter and do you believe the purchases of the single will even equal half the plays?

Justin beiber and conman west also get a great # of plays but not everyone, myself at the top of that list, will buy or even listen to their output unless forced at gunpoint.

Streaming counts towards charts and royalties--but they were talking about people caring enough about the songs to HAND THEIR OWN MONEY OVER in order to hear it.

I listen to tons of music for free that I would not pay for. That was what they were talking about.

We all know that all of his pre-D&P (pre Loudness Wars) CDs sound awful.

And awful doesn't begin to describe it, they are a massacre.
All reverb tails are lost, all transients* get butchered, the whole spectrum is dull.

They are an insult to the wonderful and numerous production details Prince put into his work.
Finesse is really one of the main qualities Prince records are known for (at least for those who care about music enough to listen to them on quality headphones/hi-fi systems).

If you're puzzled, go look for the FLAC'd vynils, they're somewhere out there.

Eye ABSOLUTELY agree with EVERYTHING U noted ! Just had made peace with the non-existence of them for so long......

On the remaster point--I'd go further than saying that the vinyls sounded better--I'd be overjoyed with something that sounded as good as my old cassettes of Sign O the Times and Parade. That would be so much better than what's on my CDs.

Parade is my favorit prince album and i always thought it sounded ok on cd, especially when you

it was such a brilliant night, listening to that, the excitement was so palpable, i got goosebumps,
laughing fits, stank face, you name it.

if that is what DECENT, WELL EXECUTED remasters could bring to the table, i'd buy them even if
they'd cost 50 dollars each.

I have vinyl rips of the old pre-CD albums, mostly--but (and I don't remember where I got them) they are not flacs, or even very high quality mp3s (variable rates, in the mid 200s). And they still sound tons better than the CDs.

I'd like bonus tracks and the whole bit--but just decent remastering alone would be great.
