Parade is a very overrated album. Some very good tracks on it, but the rest is subpar. Also, the Parade tour I find incredibly boring.

yeahthat Plus I'll add this: "Moonbeam Levels" is HIGHLY overrated. boxed

I used to think that people who like Prince's music must necessarily have good taste.

You two are bringing this opinion of mine in a sad and lonely place.

I skip Housequake. I think Rainbow Children is light years ahead of Purple Rain. I actually think Under the Cherry moon was a decent movie (caveat: Christopher Nolan is my favorite director). I Wish U Heaven is in my top 10 favorite Prince songs. His Parade era was his best fashion period.

Parade into Sign of the Times was his best... 'my new friend, the polka dot suit...'

Haha, I knew I was gonna get y'all with this! Seriously, I spent € 6 on a hardcover glossy photo book with a cd included. For that price, I don't complain.

ive been listening to Black Messiah all weekend and while its a nice album, the prevailing idea thats hes caught up to, or passed P, cannot be validated...more than half the time i cant even overstand what dude is even saying...he sounds like Al Green and Macy Gray had a baby...Another Life, 1000 Deaths, Till Its Done, Sugah Daddy, Prayer, The Charade....all nice joints, but after a few listens, the whole album sounds like 1 long song on repeat...i dig the nice sloppy drum work by Chris Dave & Questlove ... Prince aint got shit to worry about tho...AOA pees on Black Messiah...

Prince needs help with mixing his current records. They aren't bad they are bland. He doesn't use many effects and filters like he used to.

His keyboard player Reynoldo (?) or whatever has zero feel while he plays.

The original NPG did more writing than the Revolution.

Tony M is not that bad......TC ELLIS on the other hand censored

Under The Cherry Moon is his best film.

I like PRince (the 1st LP) wayyyy more than Dirty Mind

I owned the book for all of about 2 days. Left it on a train and wasnt particularly bothered. Its probably still there. However, I must be one of the few that does actually like the CD. Im not sure why its hated on so much.

I like the CD, was at both the shows it was taken from, nice to have parts of each in great quality. I have the full shows on boot too, so the cd not being a full show doesn't bother me.

The book though...

I don't like "I Would Die 4 U," and it's the only song I skip on Purple Rain.

Grafitti Bridge is my favorite of his 90s albums, then Come.

I like "P Control."

I prefer Lisa's vox on "A Place In Heaven" over P's.

I don't really care for "All My Dreams," and I think the Parade-era, as a whole, is overrated. eek

I like "Walk Don't Walk," "Baby Knows," and "Bambi."

The song "The Exodus Has Begun," is in my top 20 P songs.

The 00's were his best decade for ballads.

HIs second album (1979) is superior to MJ's Off The Wall (unpopular?)

Diamonds & Pearls is inferior to MJ's Dangerous, 1991 (unpopular?)

There's not a weak track on Prince, there are a couple on Off The Wall.

No deal, just looked in the mirror one day and realized I was.

Ain't no way Off The Wall compares to Prince.

Prince would not achieve musical adulthood before "1999".

We're talking Quincy Jones, and Michael in its vocal prime.

Prince, for all the beauty of its early falsettos, sings like shit on its eponym album,
when compared to "Don't Stop" or "Rock With You", just to mention the most obvious ones.

And I'm a huge Prince fan, BELIEVE ME.
But this is going too far.
Off The Wall is a masterpiece, "Prince" is a butterfly's chrysalid.

I think "Sign O' the Times" doesn't rank in his top 5 albums, or maybe his top 10 albums. It's great compared to other artists but not great compared to other things Prince has done.
