I agree with this.I think the 2-LP SOTT album is perfect the way it is.

I love Dream Factory/Camille/Crystal Ball, but they were all career-enders, imo. He would have gone totally underground after that.

It's true that,most of the time,Prince chooses beauty over brains.He also likes women that he can control.I could never imagine him with a strong,independent woman with a mind of her own.

Wish he'd play more piano than the guitar his shows.

Wish he'd write more instrumental songs.

COME is better than a lot of his other acclaimed albums.

SOTT is good album but overrated could be better Call My Name is one of his best ballads 1999 is not a grat album, Controversy is better. Sometimes i think he is gay bout will never assume his sexcual orientation.

OK...you asked for it....I love the Dez/Andre era....Although I own it on LP/cassette/CD, I can't listen to any of the music from "Purple Rain"..I love the unreleased songs by him from 1985-86....I hate the "Come" record..worst thing he's ever put out..."Planet Earth" isn't too far behind...Although a lot of fans love the "Gold" era, I thought (even back then) he sunk to a low point in his career..He was on top of the world 10 years before and everything was the complete opposite in 1994....Wasn't crazy about the "Rave" record..I thought he was trying too hard to be modern and accepted by radio...I wish the "Rainbow Children" CD was instrumental....I was a little disappointed with P and Larry Graham's collabos..I was expecting some real hard funk from them..it seems they both watered each other down....I dig the 3rd Eye project..most different and exciting thing he's done in a while.
