Oh please. It was not hardly some random hacker. A random hacker with the skills to re-activate a "deleted" account would have certainly put it to better use than on Prince's waste of a FB page. This was an inside job, I'd bet money on it.

Funny thing is, even back then, people who weren't there made the "no proof" argument all over the Internet. Right up to the point when folks who took him up on the website offer met with him personaly, and in one case married and divorced him, lol!

Prince himself has told the story in an interview (Chris Rock VH1 IIRC), from his perspective, about 'taking part in an online debate about how he wasn't funky'. That's what he kept typing in the chatroom, "PRINCE AIN"T FUNKY NO MORE AND HIS MUSIC SUCKS", beng mildy disruptive at first but nobody paid much attention. Then more and more obnoxious stuff. Eventually he took over the timeline with tirades, meant to make us feel guilty for saying we didn't like his new music as much as the old stuff. He was a regular there until people realized it was him and then the asskissing started and that was the end of it.

Aynway, but like clockwork for a while, anyway, you could bet he would play a concert at Paisley and log on to AOL, about an hour later. Eventually he couldn't take the specific negative comments, the ones that are probably true, btw, and he blew up emotionally, very similarly to the Facebook comments today.

I'm not saying it was definitely him today, but it doesn't seem impossible to me that he said all those over-the-top things in a fit of anger and self-hatred or whatever.

Agreed. But the odds that someone has this Prince knowledge AND is a hacker AND would do this to Prince and 8 in the morning on a Saturday is just too much. Plus, as HatrinaHaterwitz pointed out, someone with hacking skills to do this would put those skills to better use. Occam's Razor, people. It was a disaffected party from inside his camp.

I dont think Prince has lawyers doing anything with his social media presence (just to clarify). Websherrif has only one job, and it has nothing to do with running his social media accounts. The people who post things are the members and spouses of 3EG.
