i have heard a bit of LCD. It basically sounds like the album version, but no vocals. The sample I've heard is not the full version as shown on the BFTP 2.0 tracklist.

How would one even go about 'finding' a bootleg they're download links made up of random letters... surely orgnoting someone is the only way to 'find' a new bootleg like this

Nothing to suggest this is what happend. A&B leaked a long time ago, and whoever had it, did not want to share. They were either a hoarder or perhaps some "mob guys" said don't share or else. Who really knows why songs don't get shared sooner. The Box of Chocolates songs have been around in poor quality for ages, and suddenly leaked in great quality. Prince is really to blame for not releasing great material and actually releasing some crap songs when great ones remain in the vault...

My guess is that the so called "Lady Cab Driver" instrumental is that horribly edited obvious fake that has been going around for some time...
After reading this thread it seems bootleggers have been paying some turncoat again for "new" material...

I actually tracked through this one, which I don't even usually bother to do any more. A lot of these sound much better than previously. Most of the ones we hadn't heard before suck, though.

Lady Cab Driver just as the album version but an instrumental( with him saying taxi, Taxi... in the beginning and a little sighing from Jill in the middle)

Possessed not 100% but i'm not complaining...

I hope you know something I don't. I'm sure there are some hoarder fans who refuse to copy, either because they are afraid of being accused of leaking the tracks...or some might just be mean people. I'm not the nicest guy in the world myself...but I do appreciate anybody leaking these songs...

because where you are 100% right is that Prince and WB will do NOTHING. I'm not even convinced the Purple Rain reissue will ever see the light.

Did the copy that was leaked came from a different source? Not this release.. secret
This copy is missing all the highs that were in the mp3 that was leaked.
The mp3 actually sounds bettter?

Purple Rain (Demo) :
Similar to the album version. No crowd noise, the extra verse is intact

This is a bit different. Very repetitive. I can not think of any other song where the line is repeated over and over like this?

Well it does not appear to be that muddy chewed up cassette version that appears on The Work or Work It 2.0
Though it sounds like its the same as found on" The Work Vol.2 (Enhanced Edition Revision 2.0) " 2009 a fan made compilation?
But the quality on this differs, both are equally good

I have started a TREMENDOUS project...I am trying to determine which releases have the best sounding quality of each outtake...using Work It 2.0 as a starting point, and then carefully trying to remember which songs have leaked since then...but nobody has shown more than passive interest in wanting to work on this... and varying opinions would be welcome if anyone wants to have a go at this..

Electric Chair is a remixed instrumental.

RnR Love Affair (Reloaded) seems lito be an alternate instrumental to the Remix #7 version.

Da Bourgeoisie is the version without horns.

Also, most of the stuff on here appears to be true lossless.
