Well, I've just heard Moonbeam Levels from this set, and it's a major improvement on anything we've had before in circulation. I thought the version from "Perfect Unreleased Prince" was the best up till now.

The extra length is due to the track running a bit slower than what we've had before now. It definately sounds more natural than the almost Camille-like vocal that we've heard before.

I've also always been curious why the coda hasn't appeared on any copy of this song, ever since the original "A Better Place 2 Die" boot, which had it in really bad quality. But it doesn't ruin anything not having it.

I haven't found Traffic Jam yet, which is odd, as I've never had a problem finding anything that's leaked before. I'm not asking for it here.

Looking forward to hearing Toy Box. Hope it's a cleaned up version of the instrumental. To borrow a phrase from Arsenio - it's funky like doo-doo.

I wonder if Moonbeam Levels has that slightly extended outro that is cut off on most boots
That copy is in very poor quality

I have only heard that on the old "A Better Place 2 Die" bootleg. Although it does sound like it fits, there has never been any proof it really belonged there...but it probably did. The leaked full version of Moonbeam Levels does not have that outro. I have no idea if this is exactly the same as what is on Blast From The Past 2.0, but it very likely is the same, therefore, without the cool outro.

So what has leaked so far from this set.

I heard Don't let him Fool ya. That sound like shit. Worse than stuff from the days of tape trading.

Everybody Want What They don't got in full will be really cool to finally have. For years I dug the title and the description and then the sample, but that frustrated the hell out of me cus I loved it.

That songs an ear worm.

There's two versions of "Don't Let Him Fool Ya" circulating.

A shit sounding version and a perfect quality version.

It was deliberately degraded. It's not my place to tell you why, but it was in response to a previous incident.

The perfect quality version is amazing though smile

I'm sure it'll eventually surface somewhere. It's been an exciting few days having the few leaks surface here and there. Hard to be patient. I nearly got zero done at work yesterday!

Lets hope so. This is shaping up to be one of the most interesting and sought-after bootlegs.

So far, I've only heard Moonbeam Levels (thanks to a kind soul), but that's in better quality than I've ever heard it before.

They're supposed to start shipping out tomorrow so it'll be about a week or so before people get theirs (whoever ordered a copy), and even then it's no telling how long it will take for some kind soul to upload it for us.

Someone was kind enough to allow me to hear Moonbeam Levels, and while this is the best sound quality we have EVER had for this track "perfect" it is not. It's extremely "tinny", bright and full of sibilance. BUT, with that said it still is great to have it in better sound quality than before.

The version I heard is perfect. Now we need to remember, it was a finished track, but since it was not seriously considered for any album, it may not have been given the full treatment songs for release would have been given. It has better sound than PE or AOA, which both are overly loud and distorted. Perhaps the version I heard is not the one on Blast From The Past afterall...but I'll have to hear that boot to judge.

according to www.princevault.com: "It was never placed on a configuration of the 1999 album, but was considered for inclusion on the aborted Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic album (different from the 1999 album Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic), and was included as the ninth and final track on the mid-January, 1989, configuration of the album before it was abandoned when Prince began work on the Batman soundtrack album."

It's probably the same version. I'm just REALLY sensitive to higher frequencies and sibilance, not to the point where I can't stand to listen to it, but to the point that its really noticeable. Don't get me wrong, it sounds really good, just not what I would consider "perfect".

I'm searching hard for this one. Fortunately I've heard Moonbeam Levels and it's sweet and the Lady Cab Driver Instrumental. I can't wait to hear Don't Let Him Fool Ya, Traffic Jam, Everybody Want What They Don't Got and the rest.

Somebody PLEASE hook us up. I will if I come across it!

I guess it's a waiting game.

Everybody wants what they don't got is such an apt title right now.

That's the song I'm most excited about and a perfect Eternity would be real sweet too.

I love that song.

The Moonbeam Levels that's out there is the same as what's on BFTP2, it's just not ripped from the actual boot

"Around the World in A Day" would actually be version #3 with a time of 5:07. #1=5:57 & #2=5:15. It sounds very close to #2 but with some different edits here and there. What is of interest, towards the end of the song where theres alot of backwards masking (similar to "Girl) between Prince and possibly Jonathan Melvoin.
