Wow, what happened to the Flesh thread?

I'm not sure, but i bet it had to do with all the open request

which is funny, since the thread was actually started by a moderator, saying
"this just leaked in full, i downloaded it and it's great" falloff

It's inevitable if you describe something as "fully leaked", but it's not easily found through searching, people are going to start asking for it. Especially something as sought after as The Flesh
Bitch this ain't the movies

That's my case too. I don't download, I don't listen to music through a computer. Actually, I've already bought a copy of this one. I understand the position of those who say "don't pay", it's not something to be proud of (listening to free bootlegs isn't either), but they should understand that not everybody downloads or enjoy the internet as a medium to listen to music.

[Edited 10/25/14 0:21am]

Should't Prince be the only one to get paid. To charge that much for CD originating from digital files gotten for free is disgusting. I know someone has to buy it first to distribute it for free but paying lots of money is wrong

If the files are stolen, thats not right. If it is just free, providing a CD of those files should allow the producer to get paid for making it - that is not disgusting. Problem is that most bootlegs are made with files that were never paid for or acquired legally.

I would pay Prince so much money to buy this stuff officially. Well, maybe not Purple & Gold.

Prince is truly seeing his competition from the past confront him with all this great music from the 80's coming to the fore.

As others have said, I would gladly give Prince my money if he would just be brave enough to release these songs on his own. Prince's past is what got him here to the present.

The sample sounds promising. My 'holy grail' Prince outtake would be one of the Ws: Wally or Wednesday. I would quite like to hear When The Dawn Of The Morning Comes too, come to think of it. I don't believe any of these are circulating amongst 'normal' collectors.

But Prince does WHATEVER he can do at all costs to hinder success. He thinks he's making great decisions, but some brilliant people make really dumb decisions.

1. Tony M

2. Tony M

3. Tony M

4. Having horrible promotion for nearly every single release.

5. Making an album as brilliant as Sign O The Times, and doing whatever possible(with some help from Warners), to make it sell only around 500,000 (Double albums counted platinum for 500,000), and not tour and give up on it to release an album almost as good with a naked picture that would help hinder sales...and oversaturate the market.

6. Fast forward to now. Instead of having an easy release party for the two new albums where you can quickly build up to a live performance....he gets "Lovesex that's my Jam" girl to bumble her way through a boring party that 99% of all interested casual fans turned off out of boredom.

7. Tony M

8. Tony M, Damon D, and Kirky J wearing those Star Trek Next Generation Uniforms.

9. Letting bootleggers release all these great outtakes...for free, or for profit...he has blown a chance to make more money off of his craft. What a dummy smile But he's still my favorite, and I love him!!! smile

I wonder if the Our Destiny and Roadhouse Garden are from the live 1984 birthday show that came out in soundboard a few years ago with Prince's vocals or are they studio versions.

I agree. If Prince would compile all these songs and release some type of 'Crystal Ball'-like set,I would gladly give him my money. He could beat the bootleggers at their own game.
