I'm extremely surprised at the lists above, please note that I don't mean any criticism, only genuine surprise:
- Mostly rock acts: many more than R&B even though there's a fair deal of classic funk and even jazz acts as well, but u'd believe that fans are more R&B-oriented than rock and this is not the case.
- Mostly conservative: most of the acts are from the 60's to 80's.
- Mostly mainstream: lotsa big Top-10 names, much less underground acts. I expected more hipsters
- No love at all for electronic music, which also come as a surprise to me since u'd believe fans would love synths and machines but no, the electronic scene is quite ignored
This is a really interesting thread for, at least to me: it shows that the demographics is quite different from what I'd have expected
This supprised me also, I was expecting to be in the minority with most of my music favouties being hard rock/metal. but seemingly not! |
