Wait! Did he say it takes longer to do albums now that he is not rushed due to being under contract?
Huh?!
I think he meant that he has complete creative control so he can take his time since he doesn't have a label breathing down his neck to finish the albums. Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh! |

Anybody talked about the part yet, where Steven asked for Prince's help with the relationship? That was actually funny.
"In this relationship, things are much harder than in the single world."
What Prince said was funny but that whole thing was a damn embarrassment. The dude asking to sit in his lap.. I coudln't handle all the secondhand embarrassment. Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh! |

Great joke. But, I could be wrong, that all seemed scripted to reflect the new girl persona for the sake of jokes. It is very common to have things scripted on a supposed impromptu conversation on a talk show.
I don't think it was scripted simply because Prince would not have ok-ed that idiot asking to sit on his lap or the girlfriend asking if he was available (for her ex). That was one of the most embarrassing things I've seen on on TV. I think, if it was scripted, they would have surely had better questions than "Do you order from infomercials" and "Do you own a bedazzler" FOR FUCKS SAKE- Really?! You have a chance to talk to Prince and you ask him that? I can't.. Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh! |

Since it's been stated on this site that some talk shows get cancelled shortly after Prince makes an appearance on that show, I thought it was apropos of Prince to wait the day after Arsenio got picked up for a second season to announce this takeover.
That article was obviously just taking a piss. I think if he was in any way related to the cancellations, it would be that they were already going under and brought him on hoping to resurrect an already expired show. Prince brought about 20 million viewers to new girl (it went from between 3-5 the week previous to his appearance and back to that the week after, if I'm not mistaken) so I don't see how anyone could call him a show killer. Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh! |

I know Prince isn't the reason for show cancellations. I just felt like the timing for the announcement was so convenient with respect for the "Prince-talk show cancellation" idea (or myth) this site has brought to my attention over the years.

The week before Prince came on, Jay Leno came on to deliver the good news that he was renewed for 1 more season. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |

....I think being broadcast after the Super Bowl probably contributed, at least in part, to the additional New Girl viewers. |
