I have warned my wife that the two shows we are seeing in Vegas are going to really rock. Four piece, no horns, maybe no keys.................

This recording sounds amazing.

Man, we have seen the arena tours of the last ten years - enjoyed them - but a different band and a different approach is bringing some excitement back into the relationship.

Why on vimeo tbough and not his own websites? Ah well.

It looks like the uploader Madison has exclusive permission to upload things on her site? They might have worked out a exclusive deal or Madison really likes Vimeo's preference settings.

And now for a shallow moment *googles Madison Dube photos* lol Can't find any, she is 20 years old though. wink Get all the material you can, before you join the list of M's "Mayte,Mani" lol

Ey I recognize her! That's the girl 3rdeyegirl also posted a photo of on Twitter (with a tweet that said something about the truth? I don't exactly remember).

Found it:

https://twitter.com/3rdeyegirl/media/grid Thats her right? Maybe she's been taking all of their Twitterphotos.

Awesome.

Incredibly exciting, successful reworking of a classic.

Oh, I forgot to ask:

Where's the footage of this song being recorded?

(Or does lack of footage mean it was multitracked?)

What does P say at the end of the recording before the final laugh of the girls?

'Never mind this groove...used to be that...out of there' (???)

(the middle part is harder to recognise words from)

OH. MY. GOD.

eek Okay, that is officially the hardest Rock he's ever done. Wow. Even gives "Dreamer" a run for it's rockness.

That is sincerely heavy. If that's Hannah on drums, then she even outdid the Jimmy Fallon show performance. This bands rocks hard and tight.

.

If that happens (in Vegas)* I think it will be a lot of fun.

*I'm going to the late Vegas shows, so it will be fun whenever, but fun for me in Vegas.

Nice to hear him doodling around hard rock style on this, and the other instrumental from weeks ago sounded very Rolling Stones... but I want to hear him hit new songs I never heard with this attitude (I really did enjoy that E Pluribus intrumental or whatever it was called).

My only gripe with the sound:

The drums sound a bit dull. I know Prince has pushed his drums to the most dry, compressed, popping, sharp sound in all his studio stuff, to be all cutting edge... but...

It's time to bring back the low end reverb on the drums. Then it would not only rock, it would thunderously rock.

This version is ... cool This band is getting tighter & tighter. There should be a reality show called "prince's music boot camp" While it isn't a new song, I will take the rework. The truckload has been hijacked by Vimeo. It could be worse they could be bringing back a standard version of "Peach" Never want to hear that song again. cool

Oh God yes, I don't want to hear Peach again!

Really love the rendition!

The "frankenstein" stab was a pleasant surprise, too.

Middle solo: slow motion educational piece for all those willing to try it out!

End solo: why does he always have to hack it in like he doesn't understand ebb 'n' flow???

Prost!

WOW!!!

If this is how he's bringing it on this tour, I. AM. STOKED!!!!

I'd much rather have this rendition (slowed down and all), than that horrid "go go go" with horns version. Horns do not belong on "Let's Go Crazy". Period.

If the question were posed:

Can Prince rock like a mofo and then some?

(And this version was the foundation of an answer)

The answer would overwhelmingly be "yes"

It seems like this band has inspired Prince to bring out the led zeppelin influence inside of him.. thats cool..

Led Zep rocked hard.. and in a very similar fashion this does too.
