That ballet dancer is quite talented, if that's who she's talking about. And I guess she didn't pay attention when Prince said he was going to be the Master of Ceremonies for these other artists, while playing too. Maceo, Sheila, GCS, Esperanza Spaulding and the NPG can hardly be considered 'one hit wonder proteges'. I don't think that Janelle will be considered that either, she's talented, unique and had established herself before working with Prince.

I didn't say specifically the artists he named were one hit wonders, I'm saying I hope he doesn't bore us with one hit wonders...that's all. Some of the artists are still up and coming..and may become one hit wonders...basically, I just wanna see Prince...not all these other not-popular-artists. Let's face it,no one he named is all that exciting and/or popular. None of the artists are really enough to bring out alot of people that aren't coming to see Prince.

And no, I'm not 100% sure the chick is the same...I wasn't there, that's why I said supposedly since I wasn't there and can't confirm it. But it was said the date sure wasn't Bria ....who hasn't been seen lately, plus Prince has been spending time with alot of other woman.... LOL I'm being totally "pissy" (for lack of a better words) when I'm talking about the arm candy, just a rant really, it seems this chick has been all over his europe shows and now she's on the promo pic..I'm seeing a pattern with Prince and his protege/girlfriend theme. Hmmm, yeah I did hear when he said that... which is why I said I HOPE he does do most of the shows. Prince has let others have too much of his stage, and that sucks! I for one, want to see Prince perform, that's what I'd be paying for. If I wanted to see these other, mostly unestablished/old artist, I'd pay for them. None of the artist he named are very popular/mainstream, and honestly just not that exciting!! I wasn't impressed by the BET performance of ES or JM. But either way, I'll be at the shows..one can hope for a good show.

people need to calm down. First and foremost noboby is forcing anyone here to go to the shows, honestly it's like giving my kids cereal they don't like - in this caes they have to eat it!!!. For me [living in the UK] i have no intention of going but if this was a UK tour my interest level would be at zero. However it's just another project for him and if I don't like it i am sure that next year there will be something else to look forward to. Yes it is sad to see some of the people he's pushing on us i.e. LG, Sinbad etc but then again Janelle is cool and above all else new!. This 'tour' is little more than an old school review show i.e. without relevance to the wider , more credible music scene but if you dig then go, if not then don't - it really is that simple!.

What excites me more is the 'Welcome to America' strap line - now that would be a great Album title and conjures up trax in my mind with some hard hitting messages , bit of an edge and creativity.....we can dream!!.
