I confess, I didn't like it much when the album first came out (maybe because I was sixteen years-old and wanted something a little more 'kaboom' for the final track), but I came to love it very soon afterward.

YOU need to grow up.

There is no "song requirement" to be a fan. Not everyone likes the same things.

Prince's career spans 32 years and includes 100s of songs. People became fans at different points- people with different backgrounds, tastes and preferences.

That's just the way it is.

Yep I totally agree there is no requirement to be a fan but I disagree with how people rate and judge Prince's music, and believe it shows very poor judgement on their part.

I have my opinion and you have yours that is all... don't get your knickers in a twist about it.

What a person likes or doesn't like is really none of our concern. People answered the initial question honestly and don't need someone else to tell them they have poor judgement for not liking a song.

I'm surprised that "Adore" isn't getting alot of love.I think that's one of Prince's most soulful and most heartfelt ballads.

I agree! Fans rave about this song but to me,it sounds like a bad acid trip,lol.He made the right decision by not releasing it.

What I find funny, tho, is that you were the one who started off by saying that people shoudl grow up... And you also said that people have poor judgement for not liking certain songs.

So who is looking for an argument?

Did you not think someone would respond to such comments?

A lot of people here seem to think it's some sort of masterpiece, but for me, it's the musical equivalent of having a whole can of whipped cream forcibly sprayed down my throat.

I really liked this song back in 1991 but now I think it sounds corny.
