I'm a bit worried, wasn't particularly impressed with anything he got up to in Paris, then the Purple & Gold/Cause & Effect debacle, now this pointless, mediocre performance. He's either losing interest or his hearing. He looks OK to me, but i don't give a fig about that.

"Prince was at the Underground last night!" "Girl did you see that hair? Oh my Gawd!!!" "He must be losing his hair." "Why he didn't play Elephants & Flowers?" "Girl I know. Ain't nobod trying to hear no Controversy!" You need to remeber the music and get past the image. If that's a problem for you then it's time you looked in the mirror and questioned your own concepts of beauty. If Prince needed psychoanalying from a bunch of people who bitch about a mere 77 dollars than he's in trouble. If somebody could post some info who was there and not critiquing the eyeshadow it would be appreciated. When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all  up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |

I with with you, but he's brought it upon himself. The beauty's wearing off and he's probably a bit unsure how to deal with it. Both his musical and physical image has always been about energy and youth. I think things will get as interesting as they should have been in the 2000's if he wasn't able to cover up the cracks with make-up. There comes a time when you just look older - that time has come for Prince. I think once the initial horror passes, it will only reflame his muse and finally we're going to get some adult music. He's been acting 20 years younger for far too long and a lot of his music has sounded as photoshopped as his face. [Edited 5/6/10 10:43am] Worried about what exactly? That performance at the Village Underground apparently was not a planned aftershow. It was Prince and his singers jamming with the house band for about 20 - 25 minutes when they visited the club that evening. Some who happened to catch him jamming with the house band live online, already posted what songs he and his singers performed, while they were on stage with the house band.
Geez,it's not the end of the world. Now as far as the performance at the Time 100 gala, so far it seems no one here has been able to obtain access to that information regarding what songs were performed at that event. Just have to wait and see if that info will be provided from a source and posted here. [Edited 5/6/10 12:00pm] | |

I don't know if African-American hairlines perform the same as caucasian - I imagine they probably do - but I am just about the same age as Prince.
