(Latter day Malcolm is my favorite Malcolm) Because "latter day Malcolm" was speaking the Truth after his pilgrimage 2 Mecca. He spoke out, publicly, against Elijah Mohammad's The Nation of Islam, and even called him out 4 several things... knocking up some secretaries, 4 example. He also said (publicly) that Elijah Mohammad wasn't even teaching Islamic principles. Being a Taurus, Malcolm X was always going 2 seek the Truth, and in a determined way. Not easy 2 stop a Bull, but The Nation of Islam HAD 2. Everyone knows it was the "honorable" Elijah Mohammad that ordered the hit on Malcolm X. Farrakhan was involved as well. As 4 'The Rainbow Children'... it is simply one of the best works of Prince. Musically brilliant, with a continuous storyline. The song sequencing and flow R perfect. [Edited 5/6/09 6:59am] yes that is true. He also said the same people who control the KKK control the NOI. Farakhan and elijah are 32nd degree prince hall freemasons btw who serve the jesuits.

What he was implying[/i] is that black slavery was worse than the Jewish Holocaust. That the Holocaust would be preferable to slavery. None of us knows what goes on in Prince's mind but the lyrics seem clear enough. Context clues. Listen to the whole album. He is clearly implying that slavery is worse than the holocaust. He is basically saying; jews stop moaning at least you got your family name. Infact that is what is is saying. That is not the major issue with album. The dogma contained is horrible. The banished ones; HELLO. Anyone not following his dogma is banished and even beaten up round the back at one point. If you condone this then you are sick like prince. [b][Edited 5/7/09 1:28am]

He doesn't say that either. He says would you rather be dead or be SOLD ? I sell myself daily. I sell my time and abilities to my employer. I pay my government in order that they in turn produce rules that govern my behaviour. So I guess I have chosen to be sold rather than dead. Depending on the conditions I guess the former is usually preferential.

Death is a natural product of life. We are all going to die. Many people have chosen their integrity in the face of death. ever seen "A man for all seasons"? He wanted to remove something as horrendous as the holocaust from that equation. But those who wish to see prince as some evil fellow will see it as they want conviently missing all the other evidence to the contrary contained in his work and even in the very same album. I love Rainbow Children. It is in my top 10 Prince albums. The only thing I don't like about it would be the moderator voice maybe because it does keep me from going right into the next song. Music wise the only actual full on song on it I don't like, never liked and can't stand is mellow; other than that i'm fine and can listen to all the other tracks and fully enjoy them.
I think Last December, She Loves Me 4 Me and Everywhere are masterpieces. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

Prince's last decent album. I like TRC and pretty much hate everything that's come out since.

He really struck a chord with me around that time. The whole TRC, ONA, NEWS, Expectation era is probably one of my favourite musical periods after the 80's. Same here. For me things started going progressively downhill again with Musicology.
