Here's the iPod, in case no one has posted a picture of it:

http://i.gizmodo.com/5209...ore-purple

It has the movie and 15 songs on it. Are the 15 songs the "Indigo Nights" set? If not, what are they?

My understanding is that Prince is not the retailer on this, but provided the content for a fee. If that's so, then Prince has probably already been paid and how many sets are sold is not any of his concern.

i think that's pretty much how he's been operating with every project since 'emancipation,' no?

one of the comments there... What is the point of loading that media onto it? The iPod can only sync with one computer.. As soon as you want to put your own songs onto it, you'll lose those 15 songs you got on it.. so wtf is the point? omfg would that be true? lol!

Nah, that's not true. I think an iPod can be linked to five computers. And that didn't stop U2 from selling an iPod with the entire catalogue, so I'm sure this isn't a problem.

That's a 3D rendering of the iPod, not an actual picture. You can tell from the jagged radiused corners on the face. Also, the real iPod will have more text on the backside (serial #, capacity, Apple address, etc.).

There are plenty of programs available to pull content off of an iPod. Something I can see happening a lot is people accidentally erasing their Opus content - mark my words, it'll happen.

eye would like 2 apologize 4 being mistaught about silk and spiderwebs when eye was a child. eye remember learning a little bit about silkworms but it was 2 my misunderstanding that the spider's silk was used 4 this manufacturing as well. eye've been delving in2 a lot of online reading of the subject only 2 find that the spider's silk webs are used 4 some things but rarely used 4 clothing (eye'll also ASSume nor book pages). one article prints it in this manner, "In modern times, the Golden Orb Web Spider's silk is set to become a major product. The silk is almost as strong as Kevlar, the strongest man-made material which is drawn from concentrated sulphuric acid. In contrast, spider silk is drawn from water. If we could manufacture spider silk, it would have a million uses from parachutes, bullet-proof vests, lightweight clothing, seatbelts, light but strong ropes, as sutures in operations, artificial tendons and ligaments. Studies are now being done to have genetically engineered plants produce fluid polymers which can be processed into silk! Spiders are not used to produce silk fabric because Silkworm Moth caterpillars produce twice as much silk and are easier to manage (for example, they don't eat each other up!!)." http://www.naturia.per.sg...ephila.htm Some other sites like http://moondial.typepad.c...fabri.html in 2006 hinted at that the silk from spiders may become the latest fashion.

Either way, the point that has already been rectified here at the org is that "the merciless killing" of the silkworm is of a far-more greatness anyway. Inso that it would strengthen my belief more of why to OPPOSE THE OPUS.

As some has said, Prince will do what Prince wants 2 do and [pretty-much] there's nothing any 1 of us [singularly] can do about it. In fact, the complete opposite happens: If U kill, U will die." http://princetext.tripod....97.html#vt

eye must admit this thread has so far been pretty enlightening on the facts as 2 what may possibility B Mr. Nelsons dietary habits these days as 2 Xactly the origins of the silk. As well, adding in the factor from Prince in Print and our recent emails from lotusflow3r.com that "he longer refer 2 us as "friends" but rather "fans (which is short 4 fanatics)."

Yup. For Two large, there should be more than just the soft copies of the files supplied. Would it kill them to include the already pressed CD and a DVD? This whole thing is weird.

On the up-side, this 40-minute film is almost guaranteed to leak prior to the iPod's release, since it's already in the "cloud" and most likely, in several locations.

Dear all,

I've been reading this thread and others concerning Prince's new lotusflow3r website with a lot of intrest. I haven't posted for a while but now i really got the urge to do so...
In order for our Purple midget to maintain his luxurious lifestyle he first gave us the 21nights book with a lot of pictures split down the middle and in fact a lot of pictures of furniture and corridors and not so many pictures of those 21 nights mentioned in the title. Then he tricked us into believing his new website was going to be amazing and state of the art, even setting a new standard. A new standard it is, a new standard in cheating fans of fams or whatever into donating $77 into his bank account. Nothing is new about this site, absolutely nothing, except for the 3 cd's which can be bought elsewhere for $11,98. one of these cd's isn't even Prince, it's soft diarrhea inducing R&B flubber. Now, the next step is the most disgusting one, a link through the website of nothingness that takes you to the ultimate Purple Scam. A $2100 rip-off of the same book mentioned earlier, with music already released and a very very special video on a f*cking ipod, at least have the decency to put in on a dvd in acceptable quality. So, your paying for a cardboard box that holds a video on a 5 X 7 cm screen.
How far can this prick go into humiliating the people that got him him where he is today ? Not only does he want total control over the media, he wants your wallet too. That would not be a problem, if he was honest in the way he distributes his music and informs his fans correctly about what they are about to invest in , instead of being vague and using that as a means to extort money from the people who love(d) his music.
I liked him better when he said "f*ck" once in a while and produced normal cd's instead of the cheating reformed Jehova's Witness he has become...

I'm out...
