Very healthy numbers for Lotusflow3r considering the decline in overall CD sales. Lotusflow3r outsold Planet Earth by a wide margin, and almost matched Musicology and 3121. Very impressive, indeed.

I say it time to take the protest to the streets and march on Soundscn's HQ. Oh, sorry I got up too early. Way to go,Prince.

Not even with Prince sellling his album at a crimminally low price...eye'm very dissapointed in what people buy these days.

Prince is not concerned about the charts and has not been for a while. If you included how many people bought from the website that may have been the difference. I say congrats Prince! I love the music!

Yes, being only at Target counters this as well, but I think the reduced price had a positive effect on sales. I was not willing to pay retail cost to get Musicology or 3121 or PE, but I was willing to pay $12 for this set. If the price had been $25 or $30, I'd have probably just skipped getting it.

Well, it's still very impressive for Prince to debut at #2 with little promotion and only using Target as his distributor. I just hope this doesn't discourage Prince from touring with this 3 cd set - that's what most worries me because he can loose interest in a project with the quickness (including everything that goes along with it) if it doesn't live up to his expectations.

The figure was not final. Billboard and Hits Daily Double have just confirmed that Prince is No.1 with 100% reporting.

The Soundscan figure was at 86% reporting.

So it is good news afterall.
