How rididculous! Urban Legend?! Prince's records always sell incredibly well! Not only that but he finds means in which 2 sell more copies as well. Bsides this triple disc set was crimminally inexpensive...nearly a give away!

I was just reading this as well... If we (us, the funky folk) get beat out by a "NOW" Compilation....the horror! lol... For the record, the Target in Flatbush Brooklyn had the advertisements and decals for the CD, but on the escalator trip upstairs, the hanging "Prince Lotus Flow3r" poster is behind a hanging easter bunny thing.. lol.. very disrespectful! I just looked at the chart and Prince is in the number 1 spot! 149 thousand to Urban's 147 thousand.

Billboard won't announce this week's number one album until Wednesday morning. But it looks like Prince is going to wind up #2 after all. I'm surprised that Keith's total didn't go up in between the 55 and 70% updates, but I think the 149k for Prince will be his final tally. If Target has already reported all their numbers then that's as high as he can go. Urban's disc still has other retailers to hear from.
I really hope "Lotusflow3r" can pull it off, but I won't be too upset if it comes in in second place. It will be his 4th consecutive top three studio album; he's never had that many in a row before. And of all the people he could lose out to, Keith Urban isn't so bad. At least he's a talented musician who earned his fan base from years of touring and working hard. People bad-mouthing him on here just because he outsold Prince sound very ignorant. |

If that's true, Urban will pass him. This will be sometime tomorrow as I am guessing that no more numbers will be reported today. Does anyone know how Target reports their numbers. I am hoping that they are holding some back until tomorrow. Or perhaps Prince's numbers have maxed out. From the earlier reports, they obviously did not report all of their numbers at once. But then Prince shot up to 147K. I've got a guitar that can part the sea. | |

The guy is 51 years old and is still poppin off #1, 2 or 3 on Billboard. Amazing! Now add it's in one store chain. 
Prince really has brought his career to another level since 2004. Ignore the huge 20,000 seat arena tour, but after that - he has found cool interesting ways to make allot of money with not much work! Fun work! I have to be honest I didnt think this album before it was released was going to make it to the top 20! | |

There seems to be a lot of people who like MJ and Prince, according to the number of MJ threads I've seen started here on the org. In fact, I've seen some orgers complain about the number of MJ threads that people start in the Music Non-Prince forums. Prince seems to always be complaining too about airplay. First off radio on plays about 12 songs a day. And radio is driving by 15 to 25.
