DONT LOOK AT THE HITS CHART UNTIL ITS 100% BECOZ THOSE INTERMEDIATE NUMBERS AND THE % IS VERY MISLEADING. BUT THE FINAL TALLY (100%)OF HITS WILL BE VERY CLOSE TO SOUND SCAN NUMBERS. I know this coz i have been following hits for many many yrs. | |

When artists have exclusives with one retailer, how are those numbers usually reported? Is it likely that the 147K Prince has already tallied are Target's final numbers or is it possible that they will report more numbers from say other regions on Tuesday? In other words, have Prince's numbers stalled or can they still grow? I've got a guitar that can part the sea. | |

I dont see the need to turn this topic into one like: Prince is great, and Keith Urban is crap, or visa versa.
I mean its like comparing apples and pears: they make quite different kinds of music, and probably have their own 'target groups'.
