You know you a old school fan when:

..you had the album of "Purple Rain" and taped(copied by holding a cassette recorder up to the speakers and remaining silent) just so your freinds can have a copy.

...you FINALLY got the cassette tape of "Purple Rain" and copying the cassette( cassette dubbing) so your friends can have their own copy as well(had better sound quality at the time).

The good OLD days of "ripping".

I still have the original cassette, sad isnt it? LOL

ROFL!

Let's see:

--You still think that Prince was at his best when he was in his bikini underwear, licking a microphone and humping the stage.

--You think Prince looked great with the long hair--that he had in 1979.

--You usually wake up with the image of Prince in the Purple Rain emsemble and still think it's 1984, until you look over at your 3121 poster!

--You think Vanity 6 will reunite.

--You pray every night that wearing lingerie as outerwear will come back in vogue for men so Prince will do it again.

--You continue to live each day partying like it's 1999.

--When you think of Prince's symbol, you think of how it looked before about 1993--just a combination of the male/female signs and WITHOUT the horn attachment.

I saw this only a few years ago and I think they said that Prince was the only artist to not speak to Dick Clark in the history of "Bandstand".

I don't know if it's true, but that's pretty cool.

DC: How old are you?

Prince: This many!

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

You remember seeing Prince perform "1999" on Solid Gold in 1983.

You played the song 'Darling Nikki' backwards on your turntable, trying to hear the secret message.

You have vinyl copies of the albums released on Paisley Park Records, including the awful ones like Good Question, lol.

In high school, I was a feature writer for my school's paper. I wrote an article about Prince's new album "Controversy." In the last line of the story, I said, "So Chargers (my school's mascot), let Prince "Jack U Off!" A few teachers were so upset about the last line that I almost got suspended from school...

LOL! I thought I was the only person incorporating Prince into my formal education. My very first college paper was about Prince. Everybody else wrote about the usual safe bets, Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy, etc and had the nerve to laugh when my Professor chose to read mine out loud. I had the last though. I got an A because it was well written and I got the + because of my unique choice of subject. biggrin

Every once in a while, I get one of the staff members at the nursing home to push my wheelchair up to a white horse. Then I take off all my clothes, get nekkid, and the staff members place me on top of the horse.

Afterwards, I pinch the little whipper snappers' asses and tell them "I Wanna Be Your Lover". When they turn me down, I get pissed and holler "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad". lol
