TRC, Musicology, and 3121 are quality albums. I like more songs on those albums than I do on "Parade," which only has 3 good songs on it. I love most of the songs on them.I'm so glad I don't have the bad taste of some Prince "fans." PS Yay! PPS Bah, that means we're all gonna have many many copies of the album by the time the London shows are over... When they work with Prince, what would u call them? musicians?

Correct on the crappy photoshop skills and designing. But incorrect on the lame-ass fan. That "lame ass fan" is acually a HUGE supporter of the Prince Community who deserves props regardless of his design skills. Then the two men ended their collaboration and were not in good terms at all when it happened. I spent one hour talking about Prince with Sonny T in 1995 and he told me Prince only trusted Miko at some stage for musical ideas and in the production process. He is one of those who convinced Prince to get rid of W & L. Um, W&L left (twice) and the first time, Prince tracked them down at the airport and begged them to stay. I still remember that onstage video spot running over and over again before the European Diamonds & Pearls tour gigs startet. It was a commercial for the forthcoming symbol album. And it ended with this:"Wendy and Lisa: Please phone home." I think, Prince knows about the benefits of the collaboration with Wendy and Lisa. He always did. And the girl bros know as well. There are many non-productive collaborations in Prince's carreer (like Ingrid Chavez for example). W&L are among those who contributed to the Prince sound - just like Clare Fisher did.I don't think "Mountains" could have been done like this without the girls. I'm looking forward to their new collaboration.

Prince of course, even if they wrote and produced the entire track(s). I just think it's funny that someone, I can't recall who, posted that they (W&L) introduced Prince to funk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Uses people???? wow. I think not...wendy lisa, wheres their empire??? built on what they have accomplished. Sorry...but, i don't think so. far as they got lately is myspace. he is the one who gave them a career, and the chance to later ''talk behind his back'' the greatess musicians in the world, must want to work with him. he doesn't need them, he wants to share, and give them something. yeah, i think he has more heart than people say. in the entertainment world it's a cruel lonely place. probably, they had songs on the album already, so it was convienent.

there are many incidents where he's used other people's ideas (or almost complete songs) for his own without crediting them, or giving them minimal credit. Wendy & Lisa. Morris Day. Andre Cymone. Levi Seacer. David Z. Personally, I don't really care. I'm there to listen to Prince. If what he took enhances his music, I'm fine with it. The other stuff is between them, and not really something that I'm bothered about one way or the other. A cynical view, probably, but oh well. Every time a new album comes up, this discussion about his new/old work also comes up
What you think of an album depends on where you stand in taste then and now. I was pretty young during his early albums, and things I dig then, might sound to used up today, and vise versa. Parade was a good album, but not "the bang" ANHIYH and Mountains loud on your stereo, perhaps the extended versions, kicks butt compared to Kiss and G&B . N.e.w.s, and TRC is 2 of his best albums ever in terms of music. In terms of hits, and popularity, they are ofcause not. All this also depends on how free you are in your mind to resive and prosess new impulses and ideas. Art shall and needs to test limits to evolve, Wanna hear music uncut, without any sensurship and produsers who polish the sound, then take a lissen to Captain Beefheart, he is insane :p I think we are in for a treat with Prince`s new album, just dont think you know what to expect before you GET it. (get it?) >Peace and B WilD!!!

Umm. I think NEWS would have to be one of PrinceĀ“s worst albums, Ive tried so many times to listen to it after recommendations on this site, but it just gets more and more tedious... I do agree the TRC is underrated though, although I dont care about the message.
