It would be cool to have a little Princey penguin in the movie singing and playing the song. That's a cute idea! Does anybody remember when Prince was on the Muppets show, and they had the one muppet who had a jacket with on the back of it? It was both cute and funny at the same time. I love that Muppet show appearance! I wanna see a dancing penguin in heels gettin' down.. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Ok, after coming home and absorbing this song, I think that this is Prince being Prince...no pretenses, no agendas, no thoughts of being no. 1 on the charts. I really like it, and probably more than anything on any CD n the past few years.
This reminds me of songs like Play In The Sunshine, Walk, Don't Walk, etc. Not in how they sound, but the vibe you feel when you listen to it. Be who you be, dance to your own beat, love, one world united, song of the heart, all that jazz. Nothing about him being wronged by the man, no religion, no politics. If he wrote songs in this vein for the rest of his days, I'd be happy. THis is just my opinion, of course.

I need to listen to it a few more times.
That is usually a good thing for me when it comes to Prince music. I'm firmly planted in denial

Yeah that Muppet show appearance was so darn cute, especially when Prince was standing in the cornfield with his guitar, singing that country song. So cute. It would be cute to see a penguin in heels dancing. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

The song is a nice, cheerful tune that fits the theme of the movie. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Ok, is it me or does this song sound like a "Rave" era song. I am really feeling this. I hope it does well. If it gets him some Radio Disney play, I'm sure he'll be happy. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Serena said: Well, I just tested it on my 6 yr old grandson and he started bopping and then said, "hey, that's Prince, I can tell his voice!". We also watched one of the trailers that had some reggae and tap dancing, very cool. We're so anxious to see this.
The tracklisting is interesting, a good group of folks contributing...I love me some Chrissie Hynde! Wonder what Robin's version of My Way is going to sound like. I had to go to the web site too and watch the trailers, it's looks like it will be funny and cute. The lil' penguin rappin' "don't push me cuz' i'm close to the edge...." I like the Prince song. 2freaky4church1 said: This sounds like it might be an outtake from that Mayte album. Her vocal is the backing vocal. That sounds just like Mayte. The drums sound like around Rave period. That cheap ass keyboard horn solo was really bad. He must have added that reallll fast. You can play betta then that sucka! Simple piano, cute little chorus, but definetly an old song redone a bit.

Anyone think the female voice saying "song" sounds like Mayte? (I'm sure it's not - just sayin' is all...)
It is from a new singer he is working with. Not Tamar. http://www.housequake.com...genumber=3 (page 3) Personally, I don't think Mayte could sing as well as the person in this song.. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Thanks for saving me the repost jone70.
Guess when people see the credits with current bandmembers and a copyright for lyrics of 2006, they still won't beleive it. The premise of the movie is that everyone has a heart song, a song of the heart. It is part of the plot. Silence Speaks A Thousand Words.

I stopped listening to Prince in 93 and just started getting back into him. I have a lot of catching up to do. I hate to say this though, but this is the first Prince song I heard since I've been back that has gotten I've really liked upon first listen.
Damn I just made myself look sooo corny!
