That bit about Prince being a high school drop out surprised me. I remember reading a book about Prince that said he did graduate from high school. confuse

I think they got that wrong. There are more than a few sources, including his former high school which state that he graduated.

Yeah, I thought that info seemed wrong. I remember reading a Prince book written by John Bream that said that Prince showed up late at his graduation ceremony.

Again, this song proves Prince Nelson shares a lot in common with Adolf Hitler - conversely - with extremely differing approaches of attaining their idealistic goal. Prince's Germania was Uptown then Paisley Park then The Dawn and now it is The Everlasting Now. His vision for solving the racial and social issues facing the human race isn't dissimilar to the Fuhrer's blinkered, illusional notions. And that symbol-shaped river in the Emanciation booklet is just...creepy. Get back to singing about shagging yer sister, Skip. smile

only thing i think they have in common is trying to create their own idea of Heaven on Earth, without really knowing too much on where to find the Real one.

even though Hitler was hip to UFO's and Arian Races ( severely misunderstood term ) he put his own ideology over the Truth, having a destructive influence.

Prince's was obviously a positive influence in many ways, but yeah, so close and yet so far, yet still no cigar, and some would say that encouraging fanatacism is one of the biggest 'killers' of all.

In all my history of the org I have found this to happen over and over. A album will come out, I will look at the comments and song comparisons here and by the time I get to hear the song or album for myself I'm like..

"What song were they listening to??"

I would like to think people just hear things different, but in all reality there are probably just a lot of Prince fans that just don't know music. Maybe they just don't have a good enough ear to distinguish one song from another. Or at least this is the impression I am starting to get with folks.
[Edited 10/4/06 14:44pm]

Um, for the record . . .

i was kidding about the comparisons!!
