I saw the trailer for this before I even knew if Prince having a song on the soundtrack. I thought it was the most imaginative thing I've seen in a long time with regard to animated movies. Hearing this song, it's pretty easy to see how well it will fit into the movie if you've seen the trailer.

Fun groove, upbeat lyrics...I can see the penguins grooving to this quite easily.

EGAD EYE LOVE UR AVITAR!!!!!
that butt lickin' french cat, with the goo-goo eyes, made the shriek II movie 4 me...
mayb something n the penguin one will give me a re-occurring KICK n the pants!

Is that Robin Williams tune 'My way' right?

I think that it is Robbie Williams.

If not, it should be him...

no, it's robin williams..there's a trailer with his penguin character singing frank sintatra's (I think it's franks) "my way" and I think it's sung mostly in spanish.

Again, this song proves Prince Nelson shares a lot in common with Adolf Hitler - conversely - with extremely differing approaches of attaining their idealistic goal. Prince's Germania was Uptown then Paisley Park then The Dawn and now it is The Everlasting Now. His vision for solving the racial and social issues facing the human race isn't dissimilar to the Fuhrer's blinkered, illusional notions. And that symbol-shaped river in the Emanciation booklet is just...creepy. Get back to singing about shagging yer sister, Skip. smile

Exactly! Prince doesn't need Timbaland to help him sound like everyone else who Timbaland has produced. As the song says..."you do you, I'll do me." Prince is doing Prince as ONLY Prince can.

That is the problem with today's music everyone sounds like the four or five producers who are dominating the market. There's no individuality. None of these so-called artists has a sound that is unique to them. Prince has a sound. Song of the Heart is a Prince song - thank goodness!

If you don't like the song, that is fine, but I don't understand the Timbaland comment. I like the song. It made me feel good and put a smile on my face as I got ready for work on this rainy morning in Chi-town. biggrin

Oh well! Congratulations Prince! This song may gain the popularity the movie generates. A fine accomplishment no doubt! clapping

I didn't tell you your words were disgusting...I told you I thought they were disgusting...I'm aware that just because I think something does not make it so.

I wasn't hating on your freedom of expression, I was only exercising mine. Last I checked it wasn't a one way street.

Firstly you say the song "proves" that Prince shares a lot in common with Adolf hitler which it does NOT "prove" anything.
I find the parallels you draw "disgusting" because to me although you state they had extremely differing approaches they are just far too differing to even compare. Hitler murdered MILLIONS of people...I find it disgusting you could EVER compare Prince to him in any way shape or form. I'd rather not hijack this thread with this conversation so if you'd like to org note me feel free, but I have every right as you do to say how I feel and I did...I don't have to explain myself to you nor do you to I. So maybe we should just leave it as is.

Nay, sir. There's nothing Girl about it.

Sorry about your ears, but there is somthing reminescent of "Girl" here. When I can nail it down, I'll let U know. Being a musician and an engineer, I tend 2 hear 2 much, and I am going on memory... I do realize that "Girl" is a much slower tempo, but I think there is a similar swing value in the Linn part. Maybe there's also a similar change or progression that's making it reminescent 2 me... dunno until I hear "Girl" again.

Oh. and thanks but no thanks. I could NEVER be a "Sir".

Peace.

The thought that it was Sheila crossed my mind, too...but is her voice that good? Don't get me wrong I heart Sheila, but drums/percussion are definitely her forte....

Jseven, can you/will you please tell us if the mystery female is someone who is "established" or fairly new to the biz?
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
