I saw the trailer for this before I even knew if Prince having a song on the soundtrack. I thought it was the most imaginative thing I've seen in a long time with regard to animated movies. Hearing this song, it's pretty easy to see how well it will fit into the movie if you've seen the trailer.
Fun groove, upbeat lyrics...I can see the penguins grooving to this quite easily. | |

The problem with NK doing Marilyn inspired is that she'll do it in such a way as to perpetuate the stereotype of Marilyn as nothing more than a dumb blonde, which she wasn't. (Firstly MM wasn't blonde & she wasn't a terribly bad comedic actor, but I digress.) Yes, I've seen the trailer. That fat little penguin rapping to The Message? Appalling.
I will admit that the MUSIC for P's song is nice--not funky, not "the jam", not tight--just nice...but that's it...you can't make me say it's cute. I'll never do it!

I wonder is Prince or WB would ever consider working together again????? It wouldn't be the same...P wouldn't own the joint like he did in the late 80's or early 90's but...I wonder.... Just think P's value now after Musicology compared to Emacipation or Rave
