Thanks for saving me the repost jone70.

Guess when people see the credits with current bandmembers and a copyright for lyrics of 2006, they still won't beleive it.

The premise of the movie is that everyone has a heart song, a song of the heart. It is part of the plot.

It's funny...even with something like the fact that the song title references a major part of the plot in a movie that has yet to be released (thus basically dating such work as new itself), there are STILL those who insist on insisting it's older vault material. I'm confused...unless P has some unknown ability to see into the future that is... rolleyes

I have to ask though...why does it seem so hard for people to believe the man still writes songs? Why must the majority believe everything he releases has been recorded in the past? Again...I'm confused...

Why do you perceive my words as disgusting?

Firstly you say the song "proves" that Prince shares a lot in common with Adolf hitler which it does NOT "prove" anything.
I find the parallels you draw "disgusting" because to me although you state they had extremely differing approaches they are just far too differing to even compare. Hitler murdered MILLIONS of people...I find it disgusting you could EVER compare Prince to him in any way shape or form. I'd rather not hijack this thread with this conversation so if you'd like to org note me feel free, but I have every right as you do to say how I feel and I did...I don't have to explain myself to you nor do you to I. So maybe we should just leave it as is.

Hitler murdered no-one. Neither did Charlie Manson. Neither has Prince. But they have all manipulated others into blindly following their personal visions of social utopia. Prince doesn't give a shit about penguins. mad

Is that Robin Williams tune 'My way' right?

I think that it is Robbie Williams.

If not, it should be him...

no, it's robin williams..there's a trailer with his penguin character singing frank sintatra's (I think it's franks) "my way" and I think it's sung mostly in spanish.

HOW DO U KNOW???? Apparently he does like penguins if he did'nt he would'nt have participated in writing the song. U need 2 take your kids or grandchildren 2 see the movie and let them hear the song then let them be the judge of Happy Feet with the beautiful Song of the Heart that they will pat there feet 2. If u don't have kids get it 4 your nieces or nephews, hell get it for yourself when it comes out lol

I finally heard the cut, nice, not splendid. I bet it works better in the context of the movie-images.

Apart from that, is it me or aren the horns in the song sampled or synth horns instead of real horns? I read people mention it are the NPG hornz, but even on a lousy MP3 it sounds to me they are not, makes me think also this is a new track (recorded in the last year) and not some outtake from 1992 or so.

WTF are yall listening to.. wacky falloff

In all my history of the org I have found this to happen over and over. A album will come out, I will look at the comments and song comparisons here and by the time I get to hear the song or album for myself I'm like..

"What song were they listening to??"

I would like to think people just hear things different, but in all reality there are probably just a lot of Prince fans that just don't know music. Maybe they just don't have a good enough ear to distinguish one song from another. Or at least this is the impression I am starting to get with folks.

I Think it is more that the fans are so desperate to believe that something new is a good as an older, more popular song that they will project the new on onto the old one so that others can see the new stuff is just as good as the new stuff, and if they don't agree you just have pompous jackasses saying stupid things like "sorry there is something wrong with your ears, but I am an engineer and know more about music than you, thus you are wrong and I am smart and everyone should listen to me."
this message brought to you by logic.

Snap

it's fun to read the song comparisons because then i try to figure out what they're hearing that's similar -- and usually i can find something, however minor i might think it is. anyway, this song to me sounds similar to "SST," "Brand New Orleans," and "Get On The Boat" -- they all have that same vibe

Yeh, that's right... Prince shud just call up Timbaland - (the man who just produced an album of early 80's prince clones 4 JT... & destroyed when doves cry with Ginuwine...& covered most of "the time's" catalogue...& regurgitated most of Prince's innovative production technique as his own....)
the list is ALMOST endless.
